Bradley’s A.P Literature Sociograms

Hilliard Bradley’s A.P. Literature and Composition students are making sociograms, which are visual representations of their literary analysis, almost like a deconstructed essay. Students must show their understanding of characterization through the choice of symbols they make for each character. They must also show an understanding of character relationships through the choice of quotes and passages that connect the characters on the chart and, illuminate the intricate relationship they share in the book.

Winners of the Embrace, Empower & Inspire Award

Congratulations to this month’s Embrace, Empower & Inspire Award winners, Jennifer Carter, Special Needs Bus Driver and Amanda Schaeffer, Art Teacher at the HUB. Here are a few things that students and staff have to say about these two great staff members.

Jennifer is a special needs bus driver who is amazing!!! She is a perky fun loving gal who and LOVES her job and kids. Ask any kid on her bus she is the best! The story’s she tells about her kids on her bus is pure love for each of them even on difficult days. She goes out of her way to teaches our subs every step of the job when they ride with her. I could go on and on but if you ask me she is what a good employee looks like and she makes me proud to see her every day.

Mrs. Schaeffer is a really fun teacher. She helps with your work and her class is one of the funnest classes I have ever taken. There’s so much creativity and you can do a lot of fun things.
Mrs. Schaeffer is an AMAZING teacher! She inspires me everyday! She teaches me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it! I can tell she really cares about her students and what she teaches! Mrs. Schaeffer is perfect for this award!

These two go above and beyond the expectations of the Hilliard Way and truly make a difference to our district. If you know a staff member that goes above and beyond their way to make a difference, you can nominate them for next month’s award at Embrace, Empower & Inspire Nomination Form
