Report an Absence for your Student

We’re excited to share a new, easier way for families to report a student absence through ParentSquare! 

With the latest ParentSquare app update, the Attendance button is now right on the app’s home screen, making it easier than ever to quickly let your child’s school know they will be absent.  Families can also report an absence when using ParentSquare on a desktop computer. Look for the Attendance button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Using the ParentSquare app?
Simply open the app and look for Attendance on the home screen.

Using ParentSquare on a computer?
Log in to ParentSquare and select Attendance in the left navigation bar, under Communicate.

You are asked to report your child’s absence in advance whenever possible using one of these convenient methods, if you need to fill out a family trip form, click here

If you haven’t already, make sure you have the ParentSquare app on your phone so you can take advantage of this new feature. For more information, or to Register for and access ParentSquare, click the ParentSquare buttons below.

Note: Effective Aug 1, 2025, Hilliard Schools will no longer use SchoolMessenger/Safe Arrival for School Communications or Reporting of Student Absences. It is recommended you remove the SchoolMessenger/Safe Arrival App from your phone/device.
