The Preschool Speech-Language Pathologists hosted another round of their Super Speech Talk Time. They created a language-rich world of Super Heroes where students could embed themselves in theme-based learning. All preschool students had the opportunity to participate in finding items stuck in Spider-Man’s web, saving people who need help in Batman’s cave, and building their own superhero at the SMART board. The therapists helped children practice language skills such as describing features of objects, building grammatical sentences to describe people and actions, and answering lots of ‘wh’ questions all about superheroes. Students had a blast pretending to be superheroes while working on fundamental language skills!
