Davidson and Darby Students Shine in Columbus Mural Program

Five of our high school students participated in the Artsway Columbus Mural Making workshop in Franklinton.  The workshop was a boots on the ground exercise in all things mural making.  Collaboration in everything from budgeting, supplies, color picking, scaling, priming, and painting to augmented reality. They were able to meet professional artists and make work that was both collaborative and entirely theirs.

The ARTSWAY Mural Dedication will take place on Friday, Sept. 9th at 630 at 480 W. Town St.

Columbus.Franklinton Arts District invites you to join us to celebrate the completion of the ARtsway Franklinton Cohort’s community mural. Over 2 weeks, 9 young artists learned how to paint big from some of the best artists in Columbus. The students design is a commemoration of the past 225 years of Franklinton as well as the bright future that lies ahead.

Dedication will begin at 6:30 PM with comments from ARtsway Franklinton instructors Ashley Pierce & Dan Gerdeman and Franklinton Arts District Board President Michael Bush.
