Happy Birthday Bob Marley!  Bob Marley was a Jamaican singer, musician and songwriter. He served as a world ambassador for reggae music and sold more than 20 million records throughout his career..  In 1965, he released the song “One Love”.  The lyrics mainly preach love and unity among the people of the world. In the song, Marley calls on all us to put our differences aside and come together as one.

Seniors, one of the bigger scholarships, The Hollyfest, is due this Friday, February 9th.  All applications are due to the Guidance Office no later than 3:00 p.m.   This is an opportunity to be in the running for either a $2,000 or $8,000 scholarship. Don’t miss out.  Any questions please stop in the Guidance Office.

The Women in Engineering Club will meet after school Wednesday in room 147. We will be finishing our laser engraved keychains. If you have questions see Fama Seck or Mr. Kuch.

Art Club will be meeting after school today (Tuesday) in Room 161.  We’ll be making paper flowers for our Valentine’s sale next week.  Come join us!

GSA meets in room 167 right after school on February 8th and 22nd for fun crafts and good conversation.

Don’t miss Davidson Theatre’s incredible Junior-Senior production of Our Town – often referred to as the greatest American play ever written. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 2. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at hilliarddavidsontheatre.com.

Wildcat Students, if you see senior wrestler Luke Sparkman in the hall…make sure to congratulate him on his 100th win this past Saturday vs Olentangy Berlin.  Way to GO, Luke, and way to represent.  GO CATS!

Attention all girls interested in playing Girls Lacrosse: There will be a preseason kickoff meeting for players and parents on Feb 8th @ 7:00pm in the commons.  We would like all players and a parent in attendance as we will go over tryouts and details for the season.  If you cannot make it, please reach out to Coach Smock for details.
