The Hispanic Heritage month fact of the day is  Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States.  There are approximately 254 million people who speak English and approximately 43 million people who speak Spanish.  

From the desk of Mr. Ragland– Students are not permitted to walk around outside of the pit area during lunch. Students must be in the pit or outside in the courtyard during their respective lunch period.

Don’t forget to check in the Main Office if you need a Keycard: if you are a late in, ILC/HUB student, or need access to the building during the school day.

Seniors the FIRST Graduation Meeting is next Monday, September 25, in the PAC.

Seniors- final round of Homecoming Court voting will end today, September 20th. Link can be found in your class of 2024 canvas course.

As part of Homecoming Week, Student Council is hosting a movie night TONIGHT on Davidson’s Lawn between the school and bus loop. Based on your votes, we will be showing Tangled! Doors open at 7:30 and the movie starts at 8. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased online through local level- the link can be found on Student Council’s Instagram page. 

It’s Homecoming Week, so let’s show our spirit! 

Today is Barbie vs Ken, Thursday is Disco Day, and Friday is Neon day! 

Each day, the 2 best dressed students will win FREE homecoming tickets! For more information, follow Student Council on instagram at hdhs.sc

Homecoming is this Saturday. Tickets are $20 for Davidson students and $25 for guests. Guests must be current Hilliard City School high school students or alumni under the age of 21. Tickets are available for purchase on Local Level.   

The MSA will hold its first general meeting tomorrow  in room 202 at 2:45. All are welcome! 

Don’t miss the next Drama Club meeting on THURSDAY, right after school in room 70. We have a lot of great things to talk about and new members are welcome! See Mr. Crawford or a club officer with any questions!

Key Club is hosting a Pie in the Face fundraiser during all lunches this week. Bring in money for a chance to be entered to pie the winning teacher in the face! The teacher with the most money earned will be pied at the Pep Rally on Friday.

The Women in Engineering Club will meet today after school in room 147. Anyone interested is invited to join us, even if you have never been to a meeting.

The Wrestling team will be holding open mats every Thursday from 3:30pm-4:30 pm in the wrestling room until the start of the season.
