In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month we recognize Esperanza Rising,  a young-adult historical fiction novel by Pam Muñoz Ryan.  Esperanza Rising joins the Scholastic Gold line, which features award-winning and beloved novels.  Esperanza Rising has received numerous awards including the Jane Addams award in 2001 and the Pura Belpré medal in 2002. 

Congratulations to the Wildcat Marching band who competed at Valley High School over the weekend. They earned straight superior ratings from all 7 judges and walked away with Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and Grand Champ! Way to go Wildcat Band!!

This weekend, Davidson Theatre will present its first show of the year – Peter/Wendy. You don’t want to miss this creative adaptation of Peter Pan performing Friday night at 7, and Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2. Tickets are available at hilliarddavidsontheatre.com or at the door.

Auditions for the next show in Davidson Theatre’s Season – Failure: A Love Story – will take place on Tuesday, Oct 10, after school in room 70. Audition packets for this student directed production can be picked up on the callboard outside of room 70 or from Mr. Crawford in room 247. See you there!

All 3 Hilliard High Schools will be attending the Skilled Trades Exposition at the Franklin County Fairgrounds this Fall. All sophomores and juniors will be attending on Tuesday, Oct. 10 during the mid-morning/early afternoon sessions. More information to follow. Please check Canvas for details.

Do you enjoy discussing current issues? Are you interested in ways to improve your public speaking? If so, then the Davidson Speech and Debate Club is for you! Join us after school every Tuesday in room 119. 

Club Latino will host their first meeting TODAY, Oct 3rd after school in room 214. All are welcome! 

Art Club will be kicking off InkTober at our meeting TODAY after school in Room 161. New members welcome!

If you love trivia, then come join the Davidson Quiz Team to test your knowledge against your fellow students! The Quiz Team meets every Thursday after school in room 119, we hope to see you there!

Join the Environmental Club after school on Friday October 6, in room 216, to learn more about cleaning up the beautiful Scioto Run Nature Trail. Cathy Levy from Friends of the Trail will be speaking. New members are always welcome! Questions? See Mrs. Bloom.

The Davidson Wrestling team will have a Parent informational meeting on Oct. 18. The meeting will start at 6pm in the commons. ALL boys and girls interested in wrestling this season are welcome to attend . 

There is a mandatory meeting for anyone who wants to play boys lacrosse for the 2023-2024 season on Monday October 9th at 7 PM in the Davidson Commons. 

Attention all girls interested in playing Girls Lacrosse this season. There will be an informational meeting on October 17th at 7:00pm in the PAC. Please make sure the player and a parent are in attendance as well. We  will go over details of the off season program, as well as information on the upcoming season.
