FRESHMEN FOCUS CAMP & FRESHMEN PARENT MEETING
We will be holding Freshmen Focus Camp on Monday, August 14th from 8am-1pm and Tuesday, August 15th from 8am-11am. This is for all incoming freshmen in the Class of 2027. Students will report to the Performing Arts Center Monday, August 14th. Doors will open at 8:00 AM and the program will begin promptly at 8:15am. Parents may drop off students at the A1 doors (main entrance doors that face Weaver Middle School); however, only students attend. During Focus Camp, freshmen will receive valuable information to help start their high school experience, get their iPads, student IDs, and locker assignments, get school pictures taken, tour the building, and have the opportunity to connect with their classmates. Lunch will be provided at the end of day one (hot dog, chips, and water) and they will also receive a Class of 2027 t-shirt at the end of day two.
We will have a Freshmen Parent Meeting on Tuesday, August 15th at 7:00pm in the Davidson Performing Arts Center. Students are welcome to attend with parents, but it is not required.
WILDCAT WELCOME DAYS
Students who are not in the Class of 2027 (new and returning) may attend Wildcat Welcome Days and drop in anytime Tuesday, August 15th between 8am-2pm or Wednesday, August 16th between 8am-2pm. During this time, students will take school pictures, pick up their iPad, student IDs, and parking pass (if they are a student driver), and get their locker assignment.
STUDENT PICTURES
Student pictures will be taken as part of our Wildcat Welcome Sessions. You should receive a picture order form from HR Imaging to send with your student to Wildcat Welcome and Freshmen Focus Camp.
FRESHMEN FOCUS / WILDCAT WELCOME MAKE-UP DAY
If your student is unable to attend Focus Camp or Wildcat Welcome Days, we will have a make up session on Thursday, August 17th from 10am-12pm. For students unable to make any of our sessions, schedules will be available via Home Access Center the week before school starts and iPads can be picked up the first day of school in the Media Center. Please reach out to your counselor or the main office with any questions or concerns.
OPEN HOUSE
Our Welcome Back to 5100 Open House will take place on Monday, August 28th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. During this time, we would like to invite all of our families to come into the building to walk your students’ schedule and meet our staff. During Open House, we will also have PTO present selling Davidson gear as well as some of our clubs and sports out in the Commons for your student to get involved with.
