HDV Announcements: Wednesday, October 15

Here are your announcements for today:

The next HOPE Squad meeting will be on Thursday October 30th in the media center starting at 2:35 p.m. Please see the announcements page in Canvas to see future meeting dates. If you have a conflict and are unable to attend please fill out the google form that is attached on the Hope Squad Canvas page.

Senior Student Council members are sponsoring a Blood Drive in the Field House on Oct. 30 from 8 am to 2 pm. Sign up to save a life. The minimum age to donate is 16. Sixteen year olds do need parental permission. Get a permission slip from Mrs. Rader in room 207. Sign up using the qr code displayed on the TVs in the hallway. 

It is time to sign up for the annual American Legion Americanism and Government test. The test is scheduled for Thursday, October 30th, 3rd period in the media center. This is a great opportunity to test your knowledge and awareness of the American government, AND compete for a cash prize. Ask your history teacher for details or see Mr. Biddinger or Ms. Hummel with any specific questions. 

If you have gymnastics experience- The Gymnastics Team wants YOU!! Come join the team! It is a fun, competitive environment! Pre-Season Conditioning is on Thursdays 5:15-6:00pm at the Bradley High School Weight Room for all three schools. Tryouts are Friday Oct 31st & Saturday November 1st. There is no maximum number of athletes, you just have to be able to meet Minimum Requirements! Any student interested in a career that could include the construction trades- there is a field trip to the Carpenter Training Center coming up during the school day on October 23rd. Space is limited, so please send a Canvas message to Mr. Hunt by end of day on October 20th to join.

Seniors and juniors looking to fast-track a career in the in-demand manufacturing industry, we have visit days coming up with Worthington Steel & Worthington Enterprises. These roles pay well, start you off with benefits, and allow you to work with the latest technology and with your hands to create products. Send a message to Mr. Hunt in Canvas by Monday if you’re interested in hearing more and taking a field trip to their site.

Come out and support our Boys Varsity Soccer team tonight as they take on Marysville in the District Semifinals! The game kicks off at 7 PM right here at home.
