Some states continue to observe a set-aside day of celebration for Native Americans. For example, the fourth Friday in September is American Indian Day in California. Other states and cities have made the switch on Columbus Day, to celebrate Native Americans’ Day or Indigenous Peoples’ Day instead (South Dakota was the first state to do this in 1989). Also, Native American Heritage Day is currently celebrated on the Friday following Thanksgiving.
Students, The Principal’s Student Advisory Council (PSAC) seeks to establish a strong relationship between students and administration. The PSAC is composed of twelve students in grades 9-12 (3 per grade level) and works from a student’s perspective to communicate and facilitate action towards solving school issues. Please complete the application linked in your Class of Canvas pages no later than 3:30pm on Friday, November 10th. Successful appointees will be notified by Wednesday, November 15th.

The Military Information Fair is just around the corner. There are only a few days left to sign up! Military recruiters will be in our building for the fair on Thursday, November 9th. Tryouts for Varsity Gymnastics at Fliptastics will be held today and tomorrow. Friday’s tryouts are 5:00-7:30 PM and Saturday’s tryouts are 12:30- 2:30.
Wrestling practice will start on November 17th at 3:30pm -5:30 pm in the wrestling room.
