Good morning, Wildcats,

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance (recite pledge)

Here are your announcements for today:

Congrats to our Wildcat Marching band who competed in Tecumseh this past weekend at the Marching Band Invitational. The band took home awards for best General Effect, Best Music, and Grand Champ. That means the Wildcat band has been undefeated this year at every competition! Way to go Wildcat Band! Make sure to cheer them on at the State competition this Saturday at Bradley at 4:45pm.

Asian Youth Alliance will have their 2nd meeting TODAY after school in room 253!

Attention Spanish club members – our next meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 28th after school in the Commons. We will be celebrating Halloween and Día de los Muertos by painting pumpkins, having a hot chocolate bar, conchas, cookies, and treats! You can bring your own pumpkin or just show up to paint one that we will have on hand! We hope to see you all there!

Senior Student Council members are sponsoring a Blood Drive in the Field House on Oct. 30 from 8 am to 2 pm. Sign up to save a life. The minimum age to donate is 16. Sixteen year olds do need parental permission. Get a permission slip from Mrs. Rader in room 207. Sign up using the qr code displayed on the TVs in the hallway.

Mr. Hunt has limited space for an opportunity for freshmen and sophomores interested in a future in the healthcare industry. “We are STEM” is a visit to Columbus State to learn about high-growth careers and college pathways within healthcare. Ohio Health, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and the OSU Medical Center will have hands-on activities and information. Send Mr. Hunt a Canvas message to learn more about possibly going on this field trip on November 7th.

That’s all we have for today. Make it a great day and GO CATS!
