In recognition of Hispanic Heritage month we honor and thank our active duty military personnel as well as veterans. Within the four military branches of the US Department of Defense it was reported in 2017 that 36% of active duty military are of Hispanic descent. There are approximately 1.1 million veterans in the United States who are of Hispanic origin.
All sophomores and juniors will be attending the Skilled Trades Exposition at the Franklin County TODAY Tuesday, Oct. 10. Please check your “Class of” Canvas page for your Bus #, Chaperone, and time you will be leaving TODAY. Sophomores who have a 4th or 5th period lunch will eat during 6th period today. All Juniors will eat during 4th period lunch.
Attention students who took the ASVAB test. Please mark your calendar for Monday, October 23 at 9:30 to have your results interpreted. If you know that you cannot be in attendance, please see Mrs. Mongolier in Guidance.
Auditions for the next show in Davidson Theatre’s Season will take place TODAY Tuesday, Oct 10, after school in room 70. Audition packets for this student directed production can be picked up outside of room 70 or from Mr. Crawford in room 247.
Please congratulate James Tarantine for his artwork selection in the “State of the Arts” at Ohio University. His artwork will be on display over the next few weeks. James’ piece of art was selected from across the state through a rigorous process. Congratulations James!

Can you tumble on the basketball court? Do you have a lot of school spirit and energy? If so, come tryout for basketball cheer. Basketball Cheer Tryouts are Thursday, Oct. 26. 5pm-9pm in the Main Gym at Davidson.
Your physical and Final Forms must be current. Bring a print out of your grades and attendance to the tryout. Be sure to know the Fight Song. Standing and running tumbling will be executed on the gym floor, no mats or spots. Contact Coach Clark with questions.
The Parent informational meeting for wrestling will be held on October 24th at 6pm in the Davidson Commons.
