November is celebrated as Native American History Month- also commonly referred to as “American Indian” and “Alaska Native Heritage Month.” The first year of dedicating November as “National American Indian Heritage Month” was in 1990, proclaimed by President George H.W. Bush, and has continued each year under subsequent presidents. Under President Barack Obama in 2009, the celebration title was changed to “National Native American Heritage Month.”

Tryouts for Varsity Gymnastics at Fliptastics will be held this Friday and Saturday, November 3rd and 4th. Friday’s tryouts will be held from 5:00-7:30 PM and Saturday’s tryouts willl be held from 12:30- 2:30.

If you are interested in Wrestling this season, practice will start on November 17th at 3:30pm -5:30 pm in the wrestling room. Make sure to have physical completed and signed up for Final Forms . 

Are you interested in joining the award winning Davidson Winter Guard? If interested in more information, come to the band room and get a flyer off the table, or just scan the QR code on the door of the guard room. The first rehearsal is Nov 6th!

Congratulations to our Wildcat Marching band who performed at State Competition on Saturday. They ended their season with another round of straight Superior Ratings from all Judges! Way to go band! If you see a bandie today, congratulate them on an outstanding season!!

The annual American Legion Americanism and Government Test will be held Wednesday, November 1st during 3rd period. See any Social Studies teacher, principal, or counselor for information or check out the announcement on your “Class of” Canvas page.
