To celebrate the first day of Black History Month we are celebrating Langston Hughes. He was born on February 1st 1902.  Langston Hughes was an African American writer whose poems, columns, novels and plays made him a leading figure in the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. 

Wildcats, ticket sales are currently low for Winter Formal. We will be checking numbers again on Friday at noon to determine if our ticket sales are high enough. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, located in Daytona Beach, Florida and Prescott, Arizona.  Graduates from Embry-Riddle go on work for companies such as NASA, Space X, Blue Origin, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Google, and many others!  Embry-Riddle will visit Davidson on Monday, February 5th at 8:30. If you are interested in talking with a representative, see Mrs. Mongolier in the Guidance Office.

GSA meets in room 167 right after school on February 8th and 22nd for fun crafts and good conversation.

The Davidson Quiz Team will be playing their last regular season match at home against New Albany this Thursday.  Students should meet up in room 119 after school to finish out the season strong and beat the Eagles!  

Interact Club is hosting a dress clothes drive during all lunch periods from Monday to Friday. You can donate dresses, pants, or shirts on any day this week and shop starting Wednesday.

The Environmental Club will be meeting after school this Friday, February 2 in room 216. New members are always welcome!

Congratulations to the three Davidson Ethics Bowl teams for their excellent performances at the Ohio High School Regional Ethics Bowl Contest, held at the University of Findlay on Saturday, January 27th. The teams were: seniors Mary Kate Booker, Sofia Ferricci, Sydney White, and Sarah Zawisza; seniors Parker Shirk, Matthew Morrow Evelyn Potter and junior Yazed Mohammed, juniors Lucy Harris, Cooper Wickham, Maddy Clemons, and Leah Alsko. All three teams performed impressively and represented Davidson well in this state competition. Way to go, Wildcats!
