STATE TESTING BEGINS THIS WEEK

April Testing – SAT / State (AIR) Testing 

Due to the SAT (Juniors Only) and State Testing (AIR / End of Course Tests), there are multiple testing dates in April.  On the following days in April, only students who ARE testing will report to Bradley High School at 7:40 AM. 

For students who are NOT testing, we will have “at home learning” (remote learning).  There will be academic tasks posted in Canvas. (No formal Zooms due to proctoring.)

Summer Bridge Program Save the Date

This summer, the district will host academic and enrichment opportunities for grades K-8, as well as traditional summer school for high school credit. While details of the new Bridge program are still being finalized, we wanted to get these dates and initial information to our families. It is important to note that we will have limited capacity based on staffing.

Dates

High School – First Session June 1-June 11; Second June 14-June 25

In order to meet contact hours required by the Ohio Department of Education, Physical Education classes will run from June 1-July 9

Kindergarten through 8th Grade – First Session – June 7-18; Second – July 19-30

 Ready for Tomorrow Career and College Expo

 Please make plans to attend our virtual Ready for Tomorrow Career and College Expo on April 21 from 5-6:30pm.  Students, parents, and community members will have the opportunity to learn about options for students after college, including career pathways, job readiness, tuition assistance and more.  There will also be career options for parents and immediate job openings for those looking for a new career.  More details will come in April.

CONCESSIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

The Bradley and Memorial concession stands can finally open!  We will be cleaning them this weekend.  If we can get them staffed we will open.  We are serving only pre-packaged foods at this time, but is subject to change as soon as we are allowed.

All profits go back to the students in someway or another. Through boosters athletic & music or theater.  You can sign up and work at anytime or either school and support your program! $10.00 goes towards your named program when you work a session. You will be asked to sign in when you show up to work.   We ask all volunteers to please have a volunteer badge, check Hilliard schools parent info for volunteer link.

STATE TESTING BEGINS IN APRIL

Bradley’s Annual Academic and Military Signing Program will be held on Sunday May 16th.  Please notice the change in the date of this event.  

For those who qualify, a formal invitation should have already been sent to your home.  Also in the announcements section of the Class of 2021 Canvas page, there are details of this program.  If you believe your child qualifies and did not receive a letter in the mail, please have your child stop by the Office.  If your student does meet the qualifications and would like to participate, please fill out the appropriate Google Form by Thursday, March 25.

Online Academy Scheduling Webinar

 We want to encourage parents and students to join the Online Academy Leadership team on March 24 at 6 PM for Elementary families and 6:30 PM for Secondary families as we share about the 21/22 school experience. We will cover many aspects of the Online Academy including class offerings, the structure of the day, attendance criteria, and overall expectations. Driving to school

If you are driving to school, your car must be registered. Go in to Canvas to find the google sheet to fill out. Once this is done, come to the Main Office to pick up your parking tag. Questions or not able to find the form, stop by the Main Office.

The spring administration of the AAPPL test to qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy will be April 5-23. Testing will be at home on your school device. This test is for juniors and seniors only. Registration forms can be picked up in your language class, in room A236 or in the guidance office. Registration and payment due Friday, March 19. See Mrs. Lawrence in A236 with questions.

Boys Volleyball – Boys Varsity Volleyball will travel to Darby. Competition begins at 5:30.

Girls Lacrosse – The JV and Varsity Girls Lacrosse teams will host Pickerington Central. JV is scheduled to begin at 5:30, followed by Varsity at 7:00.

We are so excited to be bringing ALL students back to school together on Monday March 15!  All students who were previously attending in the Hybrid Mode will now be coming every day!  Anyone who is enrolled in the Online Academy will remain in the Online Academy.  Please make sure your child checks their Canvas page for important announcements about our All In procedures.  We can’t wait to have everyone TOGETHER again!  If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Lunch Pick Up Changes for Online Academy

Starting Monday, March 15, meals for Online Academy students will be distributed for parent pickup at Bradley HS only.  Pickup times are between 9:30am and 1:30pm, Monday through Friday on days when school is in session.  Please continue bag pickup on the same day of the week you are currently picking up meals.  Late pickup will continue on Tuesdays from 3:30pm until 6:00pm.   There will not be a late pickup during Spring break.  Parents of students who are attending school in person may also pick up bags covering weekends at Bradley HS.

Spring Forward This Weekend

 Don’t forget this weekend Daylight saving time begins at 2 am on Sunday, March 14, meaning you’ll set your clock to 3 a.m. at that point.

Hilliard Education Foundation Spring Event

The Hilliard Education Foundation will host a virtual event on March 16 featuring Broadway star and 2000 Hilliard Davidson graduate, Jessica Grové! This exciting opportunity is in lieu of HEF’s annual spring event, Denim and Diamonds. The Grové family has generously agreed to match every dollar given up to $10,000 from March 16 to March 31!  You can learn more about this important event on our web page now.

Future Ready Columbus

Future Ready Columbus is working to help ensure that our children’s futures are not determined by their zip codes. They want to build a plan to ensure that every child is ready for kindergarten because children who are ready for kindergarten go on to have better health, higher levels of education and higher lifetime earnings. Future Ready’s plan will address the many factors affecting our children and our community, and they are looking for input from everyone to help shape that plan and make the most impact for Franklin County. Please take 10 minutes to answer the questions they’ve put together. You can find those questions online.

Boys Basketball – The Varsity Boys Basketball team will travel to Ohio Dominican to take on Westerville Central in a Regional Semi-Final game.  Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 pm.

Announcements

Congratulation to sophomore Robert Snyder for placing 6th in this past weekend’s District Wrestling Tournament, and senior Ryan Brattina and sophomore Caden Ellison on qualifying and competing in the District Tournament.  Junior Hailey Amador finished her season with a 6th place finish in the Girls State Tournament–congratulations Hailey!
