Bowling – The Boys and Girls Bowling teams will travel to Capri Lanes to take on Thomas Worthington. Matches are scheduled to begin at 3:45.

Gymnastics – The Gymnastics team will travel to Worthington Kilbourne. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:30.

Thursday, January 14

Wrestling – The JV and Varsity Wrestling team will travel to Hilliard Davidson. Matches are scheduled to begin at 6:00.

New Quarantine Guidelines

$New Quarantine Guidelines$

The Ohio Department of Health has released new guidelines regarding quarantine rules for both students and staff regarding exposures in a school setting. It’s important to note these new guidelines only apply to in-person learning and on buses, not after school activities.

If there is a positive case in the classroom, we begin contact tracing as we currently do. If a student or staff member is exposed to COVID-19 in the classroom, and wearing face masks that cover the face and nose at all times, those exposed will not be quarantined. Only the positive student or staff member would need to stay home. Everyone exposed will still be considered “in close contact” and will be required to follow quarantine procedures outside of school. However, they are basically being deemed “essential workers” and allowed to attend school or work. They would not be able to participate in extracurricular activities during the quarantine period.

We will still require students and staff to follow all mask and six feet of social distance protocols at this time.

The above guidelines only apply to classroom and bus settings. Students and Staff should not attend in-person school/work if they are exposed to COVID-19 outside the school setting, including during sports and other extracurricular activities, regardless of masking.

YOUR CHILD’S ‘AT HOME’ DAY

We want to make sure our students are getting back into a solid routine as we back into our 2nd week back to school. Please encourage a set schedule for their ‘at home’ days. If students need help during the day, that is the best time to reach out to teachers. Unfortunately, many students start working in the evening and then do not have the resources available for assistance. Working during the day allows for students to reach their teachers with questions and get responses in a timely manner.

MEALS DURING HYBRID

Meals will continue to be provided free to all students on their Hybrid days in school and when they are out of school. You can find details on how to get lunches on the out of school days on our food service web page.

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS

College Rep visits are being scheduled! All visits will be virtual for this school year. You can sign up in your Naviance account. Please note – after clicking the registration button in Naviance, you must copy and paste the college’s registration link into your browser to complete the registration process. This is where you will enter your email address, so the college reps are able to email you the Zoom link on the day of the visit. Visits will continue to be scheduled over the next couple of months so be sure to check Naviance regularly. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wintrich in the Guidance office.

New Student Logins for Zoom

Beginning on Mon, Jan 11, 2021, students will need to login to Zoom before entering a Zoom class session. Zoom authentication will identify each student with their official district name (first name/last name) just as they are identified within Canvas.

Here is a Student tutorial on how to login.

If the student has problems logging into Zoom or they do not remember their password, please submit a Helpdesk ticket at hilliardschools.org/helpdesk.

Kindergarten Registration Open for the 2021/22 School Year

If your child will be five years of age on or before September 30, 2021, he/she is eligible to start kindergarten during the 2021-22 school year. Please start the process on our Welcome Center Web Page.

Swimming – The Boys and Girls Swim teams will travel to the Westerville Community Recreation Center to take on Westerville Central. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00.

Girls Basketball – The JV and Varsity Girls Basketball teams will travel to Olentangy Orange. JV is scheduled to begin at 6:00, followed by the Varsity at 7:30.

Saturday, January 9

Wrestling – The Varsity Wrestling team will host a tri-match. Matches are scheduled to begin at 10:00.

Girls Basketball – The JV and Varsity Girls Basketball teams will travel to New Albany. JV is scheduled to begin at 6:00, followed by the Varsity at 7:30.

Gymnastics – The Gymnastics team will compete in the McGee Invitational at Integrity Gym. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.
