E-LEARNING CONTINUES FOR DEC. 7-11.

We will continue with E-Learning starting tomorrow.  Students are required to follow the below schedule EVERY DAY of the week.  Daily attendance will be taken.  Teachers will also have virtual office hours in the morning.  Have your child reach out to the teacher to schedule a time.    Please continue to check Canvas announcements daily for important information.

RETURN TO RED – IMPACT ON LEARNING MODE

Due to Franklin County turning back to Red on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System map today, Hilliard Schools will enter a Watch Week before changing educational learning modes.  This means for the week of December 7-11, we will continue with eLearning.

However, based on the State reporting system, we anticipate being Red again on December 10, which would put us back into Hybrid on Monday, December 14.  Bringing our students into Hybrid for the last week before Winter break allows us to connect with students before the long break.

Hilliard Schools remains concerned about our students’ mental health and well-being, and to this end, we will not have cumulative final exams the last week of this semester. “Our teachers and staff will be connecting and engaging with our students during the limited time we have them in person. It’s more important we teach and engage, than test and assess,” said Superintendent John Marschhausen.

As a reminder to our families in the Online Academy, learning mode shifts do not impact your schedules, unless your child goes into a building for a class.  We will continue to confirm learning modes on Thursdays, unless a change needs to be implemented sooner.

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP

Meals will still be provided to students during eLearning.  Bags covering breakfast and lunch for an entire week will be given out at all Hilliard City School elementary, middle, and high schools during eLearning, and they are free.

Parents should pick up at the building attended by your oldest child.  If your oldest child is a sixth grader, pick up meals at either their previous elementary building, or the middle school in your attendance area.  Please only pick up meals once per week.

To avoid long lines, we ask that parents pick up at buildings based on the first letter of the parent’s last name and the following schedule:

  • Monday: A – B
  • Tuesday: C – G
  • Wednesday: H – L
  • Thursday: M – R
  • Friday: S – Z

Pick-up times during eLearning are from 9:30am to 1:30pm.   If your schedule prevents you from picking up during the day, a late pick-up option is available on Tuesdays at Bradley HS from 3:00pm until 6:00pm.  Please call Brenda Creske at extension 614-921-7490 to arrange for late pick-up.

If you are having trouble picking up the meals, please call your building principal, delivery options may be available for those in need.

You can find these details on our food service web page.
