Advanced Placement (AP)

Parents & guardians of students taking an Advanced Placement (AP) course – you will receive in the mail this week a letter with information on how to register your student for an AP exam(s). MyPaymentsPlus will open on September 25. Feel free to contact Jessica Buscemi, School Counselor, with any questions! Cash/check is also accepted in guidance until October 27.

Technology Protection Plan (TPP)

The Technology Protection Plan (TPP) is highly recommended to all families of students in grades 2-12 as a way to help protect/repair their iPad in case of an accident either at school or at home.

For only $25 per school year, the device loaned to your student will be covered against all incidental damage or loss over $50. Accessories (charger and case) and damages valued at less than $50 are NOT covered and are the sole responsibility of the student. Coverage is 24 hours per day. NEGLECT/ABUSE IS NOT COVERED. The Technology Protection Plan will only cover two incidents per school year.

If paid, the TPP will release the parent/guardian from having to pay for loss or damage for the following reasons:

  • Damages resulting from normal use and accidents.
  • Loss or damages resulting from theft. An official copy of a police report is required.
  • Loss or damages resulting from a fire. An official fire report from the investigating authority is required.
  • Loss or damages resulting from a natural disaster.
  • Damages resulting from a power surge.
  • Damages resulting from vandalism by another individual. If found guilty, the vandal will be liable to pay for damages.

Without the TPP, your potential out-of-pocket expenses could be as high as $330.00 per incident!

We strongly encourage you to enroll your student’s device in our Technology Protection Plan for the 2023-2024. Payment is easy and can be paid online by logging into your MyPaymentsPlus account.

For just $25.00 the TPP will cover 2 incidents with no deductible. Coverage lasts for the entire 2023-2024 school year and is renewable each subsequent school year. The Technology Protection Plan will follow Board Policy-JN.

ASVAB

Hilliard Bradley will be hosting a Career Opportunity ASVAB Testing day on Tuesday, October 3, during 1st – 4th periods. This event will give students who are interested an opportunity to explore career options. Sign up here ASVAB Test Sign up

“The ASVAB is a standardized test that reveals areas of strength and ability in science, math, and language. Taking the test is one of the first steps before you explore your future.”

If your student has questions or would like more information, please have them stop by the Media Center and see Ms. Ysseldyke!!

Home Access Center

Home Access Center Gradebook – Although many scores for student work can be found in Canvas, we want to remind families to use Home Access Center for the definitive source for student grades. Canvas is great for some scores and individual assignment feedback, but HAC should be used for final scores and Grading Period grades. To monitor student daily classwork grades, look at the Classes tab.

In order for athletes to participate, all of the following must take place.

**Physicals must be updated prior to participation.  Upload two forms from the physical — Physical Exam Form and Medical Eligibility Form — to the parent’s Final Forms account (paper physicals will not be accepted).

**Both athlete and a parent/guardian must sign all forms in Final Forms.

**Participation Fees may be paid beginning August 1 and must be paid prior to the first competition through your MyPaymentsPlus account.  All athletes, including reduced or free lunch, must complete the payment process through MyPaymentsPlus.  Reduced or free lunch must check out through MyPaymentsPlus by paying half (reduced lunch) or $0 (free lunch) payment.  Fees must be paid prior to the first competition.

ATHLETES MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITIVE SEASON UNTIL ALL OF THE ABOVE IS COMPLETED.
