GREECE TRIP:  Love to travel?  Need an idea for your capstone?  There are still spots available for the trip to Greece in the Summer of 2020.  There will be an informational meeting Wednesday, September 11, at 6:30pm, in room C285.  See Mrs. Boiarski with questions.

 

THE 2019 YEARBOOKS HAVE ARRIVED!!!

 

Current Bradley Students: Distribution for the 2018-2019 yearbooks will be held from Tuesday, September 3rd to Thursday, September 5th during all lunch periods in the commons.

 

2019 Graduates: You may pick up your book (or send someone else to pick it up for you) in Bradley’s Main Office starting on September 3, 2019. If you are unsure about whether you purchased a book OR you would like to be added to the wait list to purchase an extra book, please visit the yearbook website at http://is.gd/hbyearbook.

 

KEYCARDS ARE IN!

 

The first batch of cards have arrived!  They are available in the Main Office.

 

If you have had a schedule change and will now need a keycard, please see Mrs. Kaufman in the Main Office as soon as possible.

If you still have a keycard from last year, it has been deactivated.  Please return it to the Main Office as soon as possible.

 

Students Parking at Bradley: This year you do not have to pay for a parking tag, but you still need to register your car and get a parking tag.  Please come to the Main Office with all of your car info-Make, Model, Color, and License Plate #.

You can also enter the info on mypaymentsplus.com, and it won’t charge you.

Please do this as soon as possible.  As always, if you are not driving to school yet, you can get your tag when you start.

 

 

WWII/Paris Trip:  Students at all 3 Hilliard high schools are invited to learn more about this year’s WWII in London and Paris trip. Students and parents can learn more about the trip here.  We will also hold an enrollment meeting next Thursday, September 5, at 7:00pm in room 200, at Darby High School.  Please RSVP to next week’s meeting so that we can be sure to have enough materials!

 

Bradley High School Open House:  Open House will be Thursday, September 5th at 7:00 pm.  Parents will be provided with an opportunity to walk their student’s schedule and meet their teachers.    First period will begin at 7:00 pm.  Each class will last approximately 10 minutes with 5 minutes to travel between classes.  Students please give your parents a screenshot of your schedule before Thursday.  This is an excellent time for both parents and teachers to establish communication.  Hope to see you there!

 

 

SPRING BREAK to FRANCE + SPAIN!!!!

There is a travel opportunity this school year’s Spring Break (2020) to France and Spain!!! 

There will be an informational meeting to talk about this trip in the Media Center on Wednesday, September 18, at 6:30pm.  Seniors–this will be a great CAPSTONE idea .

CLUBS:

 

Art Club will meet every other Tuesday after school until 3:30pm, in room C104.

 

Bradley Faith will meet in B276, every Thursday, from 2:40-3:10.

 

Engineering club will meet every Tuesday after school from 2:45 – 4:00 in the Engineering room, PA132.  Our 1st meeting is this Tuesday, Sept. 10.

 

French Club meets every third Tuesday (except for February, that date is 2/25) in A236 from 2:45-3:30. First meeting is Tuesday, September 17. See Monsieur Howard or Madame Lawrence for more info. All are welcome!

 

GSA (Genders & Sexualities Alliance):  If you are LGBTQ+ or an ally to members of the Queer Community in Bradley High School, please join us for the first meeting of the year for the Bradley Genders & Sexualities Alliance (GSA).  We will meet on Thursdays after school in Room B156, starting with this Thursday, September 5.  All are welcome, and we are very excited for another year of advocating for equality and diversity here at Bradley!  

 

Interact Club   A service club to school, community, and the world. Our first meeting is Thursday, September 12, at 2:45 PM, in C285. Come learn about our club and all we do.

Jaguar Ambassadors meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the media center.

 

Key Club –  Join this club to gain leadership skills while serving our community here at Bradley, in Hilliard, and in our world.  Our first meeting will be on Monday, September 16, at 2:45, in C285.  Free food! 

We meet the first and third Mondays of each month.

¡HOLA!  Spanish Club’s first meeting will be right after school in room B255, on Wednesday, September 11.  Come join us for some chips and salsa.  Everyone is welcome, even if you aren’t taking Spanish!

 

Theater Troupe meetings are the second Tuesday of every month right after school in the PAC.

 

 

GUIDANCE OFFICE:

 

COLLEGE REP VISITS are coming to Bradley!  If you are a Junior or Senior and want to hear all about the colleges visiting here at Bradley, please sign up on your Naviance account to attend.  You will receive a pass the morning of the visit.  Limit of 5 visits.  Deadline is one day in advance.  Check the complete up-to-date list on Naviance or in the Guidance Office.  First up are:

The COLUMBUS SUBURBAN COLLEGE FAIR is Sunday, October 13, from 1:00-3:30 pm, at Otterbein University, Clements Center.  Over 200 college representatives will be there along with financial aid sessions at 1:30 and 2:30, at the Rike Center.  Learn more at www.college-fair.org

 

 

MIAMI UNIVERSITY BRIDGES PROGRAM is an overnight experience for high-achieving Seniors of diversity.  Various weekends available in October and November.  Possible scholarship money for participants that will attend Miami University next fall.  Application deadline is September 27.

ATHLETICS 

 

Wednesday, September 4

 

Girls Golf – The Varsity Girls Golf team will travel to New Albany Links to compete in an OCC Match.

 

Boys Golf – The Varsity Boys Golf team will compete in a tri at Heritage Golf Club.  Tee time is scheduled for 3:30.

 

Girls Tennis – The JV Girls Tennis team will host Bexley, and the Varsity team will travel to Bexley.  Matches are scheduled to begin at 4:00.

 

Announcements

 

Girls Lacrosse – There will be a Fall meeting on Thursday, September 5, at 2:45PM, in the Aux commons for anyone interested in Girls Lacrosse.   Anyone who doesn’t have a ride after school can meet Thursday morning at 7:15 in the gym.
