NHS will hold a meeting on Wednesday, September 18, at 7am, in the Media Center for all current members.  Please see the Canvas page for meeting minutes if you are not able to attend.

Intramural Sports Student Advisory Committee

 

Any students who are interested in helping organize, advertise and make decisions about intramural sports are encouraged to join the Intramural Sports Student Advisory Committee.  The committee will meet every other Monday.  If you are interested in joining this committee and having your voice be heard, please stop by room B252 and see Mr. Gmerek.  This committee is open to all freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors, boys and girls!

 

Some sports that have been offered in the past are flag football, kickball, whiffle ball, basketball, ultimate Frisbee and spikeball.  All ideas are good ideas!  If you think you have something to offer, then join the Intramural Sports Student Advisory Committee today!

 

 

GREECE TRIP:  Love to travel?  Need an idea for your capstone?  There are still spots available for the trip to Greece in the Summer of 2020.  There will be an informational meeting Wednesday, September 11, at 6:30pm, in room C285.  See Mrs. Boiarski with questions.

2019 Graduates: You may pick up your book (or send someone else to pick it up for you) in Bradley’s Main Office.  If you are unsure about whether you purchased a book OR you would like to be added to the wait list to purchase an extra book, please visit the yearbook website at http://is.gd/hbyearbook.

 

 

SPRING BREAK to FRANCE + SPAIN!!!!

There is a travel opportunity this school year’s Spring Break (2020) to France and Spain!!!

There will be an informational meeting in the Media Center on Wednesday, September 18, at 6:30pm.

Juniors and Seniors–this will be a great CAPSTONE idea.

Spanish teachers Fred Neuhausel (Fred_neuhausel@hboe.org) and Miriam Alonso-Bartels (Miriam_alonso-bartels@hboe.org) can be contacted if you have any questions about this trip!

 

 

CLUBS:

 

Art Club will meet every other Tuesday after school until 3:30pm, in room C104.

 

Bradley Faith will meet in B276, every Thursday, from 2:40-3:10.

 

Engineering club will meet every Tuesday after school from 2:45 – 4:00 in the Engineering room, PA132.  Our 1st meeting is this Tuesday, Sept. 10.

 

French Club meets every third Tuesday (except for February, that date is 2/25) in A236 from 2:45-3:30. First meeting is Tuesday, September 17. See Monsieur Howard or Madame Lawrence for more info. All are welcome!

 

GSA (Genders & Sexualities Alliance):  If you are LGBTQ+ or an ally to members of the Queer Community in Bradley High School, please join us for the first meeting of the year for the Bradley Genders & Sexualities Alliance (GSA).  We will meet on Thursdays after school in Room B156.  All are welcome, and we are very excited for another year of advocating for equality and diversity here at Bradley!

 

Interact Club   A service club to school, community, and the world. Our first meeting is Thursday, September 12, at 2:45 PM, in C285. Come learn about our club and all we do.

Attention all students interested in joining Bradley’s clay club, Jags of Clay.  Our first meeting will be next Tuesday, Sept. 10, after school, till 3:30 in room C105.  If you’re interested but can’t make it, stop in and see Mrs. Ruffing in room C105.

 

Jaguar Ambassadors meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the media center.

 

Key Club –  Join this club to gain leadership skills while serving our community here at Bradley, in Hilliard, and in our world.  Our first meeting will be on Monday, September 16, at 2:45, in C285.  Free food!

¡HOLA!  Spanish Club’s first meeting will be right after school in room B255, on Wednesday, September 11.  Come join us for some chips and salsa.  Everyone is welcome, even if you aren’t taking Spanish!

 

Theater Troupe meetings are the second Tuesday of every month right after school in the PAC.

 

 

GUIDANCE OFFICE:

 

Attention College-Bound Sophomores & Juniors:

The PSAT test will be administered at Bradley on Wednesday, October 16, from 7:40a-11:00a.  This is a great opportunity for you to practice for the SAT (which all Juniors will take for free at Bradley in the Spring!) and provides an opportunity for Juniors to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Competition.  The cost is $23, and registration is open September 9-30. Sign up and pay by going to Home Access under MyPaymentsPlus, OR you can sign up with Mrs. Barie in the Guidance Office with cash or check written out to Hilliard City Schools.

 

COLLEGE REP VISITS are coming to Bradley!  If you are a Junior or Senior and want to hear all about the colleges visiting here at Bradley, please sign up on your Naviance account to attend.  You will receive a pass the morning of the visit.  Limit of 5 visits.  Deadline is one day in advance.  Check the complete up-to-date list on Naviance or in the Guidance Office.  First up are:

The COLUMBUS SUBURBAN COLLEGE FAIR is Sunday, October 13, from 1:00-3:30 pm, at Otterbein University, Clements Center.  Over 200 college representatives will be there along with financial aid sessions at 1:30 and 2:30, at the Rike Center.  Learn more at www.college-fair.org

 

 

MIAMI UNIVERSITY BRIDGES PROGRAM is an overnight experience for high-achieving Seniors of diversity.  Various weekends available in October and November.  Possible scholarship money for participants that will attend Miami University next fall.  Application deadline is September 27.

Tuesday, September 10

 

Girls Golf – The Varsity Girls Golf team will take on Hilliard Darby at Mentel Memorial.  Tee time is scheduled for 3:30.

 

Girls Tennis – The JV and Varsity Girls Tennis teams will take on Gahanna.  Matches are scheduled to begin at 4:00.

 

Boys Golf – The JV Boys Golf team will take on Gahanna at Darby Creek Golf Course.  Tee time is scheduled for 4:30.

 

Girls Soccer – The JV and Varsity Girls Soccer team will travel to Worthington Kilbourne.  JV is scheduled to begin at 5:30, followed by the Varsity at 7:00.

 

Boys Soccer – The JV and Varsity Boys Soccer team will host Worthington Kilbourne.  JV is scheduled to begin at 5:30, followed by the Varsity at 7:00.

 

Girls Volleyball – The Freshman, JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball team will travel to Hilliard Darby.  Freshman and JV are scheduled to begin at 5:30, followed by the Varsity at 7:00.
