Skilled Trades Expo Success

Hilliard was proud to welcome close to 3,000 students to the first ever Skilled Trades Expo.  You can watch a short video recap of the day by clicking this link.

The event was held in collaboration with the Ohio Contractors Association, the Associated General Contractors of America, and the Building Trades Council to educate our students about alternative career pathways through hands-on experiences. The students learned about skilled trades like bricklaying, carpentry, masonry, roofing, and plumbing. While many job sectors have reported slow to no job growth since the start of the pandemic, the skilled trades industry is seeing a boom across the nation.

If we don’t receive notification from parents, the student will be unexcused.

Students/Parents:  When a parent is dropping off something for their student, we will let the parent in to the vestibule to drop the item off on the table.  Please make sure there is a name on it (pen and sticky notes are provided), and that the student is aware it has been dropped off.
