Bradley eNews – March 4, 2022

Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

It was another good week at Bradley High School. Next Wednesday March 9th, we will be administering the PSAT for our sophomore students.  Students will test in the fieldhouse starting at 7:40am. All sophomores will eat 6th period lunch after they finish the test.

I would like to thank everyone that had an opportunity to come out and support our choir students’ performance last night. Next Thursday, March 10th, beginning at 7:00pm our band will be performing in the PAC.

Congratulations to the Bradley Ethics Bowl team comprised of Jordan Hires, Anna Miller, Kaci Yano, Gwyn Caudy, and Zak Qaisi beat a formidable team from Olathe South High School in Kansas during their virtual playoff round to advance to the National competition, which will be held at the University of North Carolina’s Parr Center for Ethics on the weekend of April 8-10th!!

Finally, as we move to the end of the winter sports season I would like to congratulate our students and coaches for all of their hard work. Good luck to our wrestlers and gymnasts as they compete this weekend.

Have a great weekend and Go Jags.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF CURRENT 11TH GRADERS

In accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3313.671, all students entering Grades 7 and 12 are required to be vaccinated against meningococcal (serogroups A, C, W, and Y) disease. One dose of meningococcal vaccine is required prior to entry into 7th grade. This requirement is in addition to the Tdap vaccine that is also needed for 7th grade.

A second dose of meningococcal vaccine is required prior to entry into the 12th grade. The second dose must be administered on or after the 16th birthday with at least 8 weeks between the first and second dose. If the first dose of meningococcal vaccine was administered after the 16th birthday, a second dose is not required. If a child is 15 years of age or younger, only one dose is required.

Written proof of vaccinations includes a photo copy of your student’s immunization record or a signed statement from your health care provider. Records may be mailed, faxed, or dropped off to your school nurse.

Please email records to Deborah_Ashline@hboe.org, or call me with questions, at 614-921-7410

Letters will be mailed in May if we are still missing your students updated records.
