Bradley eNews – March 1

Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

I thank our families for attending this week’s orchestra concert. The students did an excellent job, and we look forward to their next concert.

Next Wednesday, March 6th, the Bradley Choir will perform its winter concert at 7:00 pm. The Bradley Band is performing its winter concert next Thursday, March 7th, at 7 pm. Both performances will be held in the PAC. We would love for you to join us both nights.

Also, on Wednesday, March 6th, from 7:40 am to 12:00 pm, we will administer the SAT to all Junior students.  Students not taking the SAT will work remotely from home for the day. SAT Parent Information

The National Merit Scholarship Program has now determined which of the 16,000 Semifinalists named in September 2023 that have met all requirements to advance to Finalist standing in the competition. Hilliard Bradley High School’s Finalists in the 2023-2024 National Merit Scholarship Competition include Aayush R. Kumar and Maxton Wayt. These students will be recognized at the March 11th board meeting.

This weekend is a big event weekend for our Jaguars.  Wrestling districts begin today at Darby High School beginning at 4:00 pm. The Bradley cheerleaders will compete at the state competition beginning at 10:18 am and 4:19 pm at Big Walnut High School.  Lilly Gibbs will compete in the gymnastics state championship at Bradley High School on Sunday beginning at 10:00 am.

We’re quickly approaching the end of the third nine weeks of this school year — time truly flies! It remains crucial that your child is present in school every day so they can nurture the essential skills identified by our community in our Portrait of a Learner.  Above all, our goal is to cultivate Resilient Learners—students who adapt positively to change, show flexibility in their thinking and actions and learn and grow from both their achievements and setbacks. In this video, a Hilliard parent and local college professor, will shed light on the significance of these skills in today’s ever-changing world.

Each day your student isn’t in school, they are missing out on strategies and opportunities to develop their skills in this area further. Your active involvement and support play a pivotal role in this journey. Together, let’s ensure that your child’s presence at school continues to be a cornerstone of their growth and success.

Have a great weekend, and Go Jags!
