 A couple of reminders:

NO Food deliveries:  Reminder that no food deliveries are allowed during the school day.

 -Riding a bus with a friend:  At this time, transportation is not allowing extra riders this year on our buses due to capacity.

-NO Change or Vending Machine refunds:  The office does not have change or refunds.  For refunds, you will need to call the number on the machine.

 -Doors at Bradley in the morning: 

Just a reminder that the doors for student entry in the morning are open at 7:20am.  Please do not drop your students off earlier.

Transportation is being provided to Davidson HS if/when the students complete the Google Form for sign up!!

Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

I would like to thank all of our families that donated to assist our PTO’s morning coffee cart for this week. The entire Bradley staff greatly appreciated all of the treats and snacks that made Wednesday’s morning special.

Grades for the first quarter are posted. Please review your child’s grades and discuss strengths and areas of improvement in order to set goals for the second quarter. Take time to celebrate your child’s successes and continue to work with their respective teachers to achieve any improvement that needs to take place.

On October 24th, we will administer the PSAT10 for all of our sophomore students and the NMSQT for our junior students that have pre-registered. We will be operating on a testing delay schedule on this day.

Finally, the building is closed today in observance of COI Day. Please enjoy the time with friends and family.

On Tuesday, October 24 all Sophomores will take the PSAT10, and any Junior that registered will take the PSAT/NMSQT. On this day, we will be on an adjusted schedule . District Transportation will run at the normal times. Any student who is NOT testing and is in the building before 11am will have access to the Commons.

Military Information Fair

Students from all three high schools are invited to participate in a Military Information Fair being held at Davidson on November 9, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.  Students must sign up in Canvas.  Those from Bradley and Darby will be bussed to Davidson for the event.  There will be members of all branches of the military on hand to give students a better understanding of the educational benefits of each branch.  If you have questions, you can reach out to the student’s counselor.

We are Hilliard Story Telling Event

On November 4th, from 1:30 to 3:30, Hilliard City Schools and Create Happy Moments will host the We are Hilliard Storytelling event. Join us at JW Reason for this multilingual event to gather as a community to hear the stories of our neighbors. All ages are invited to participate in this program as we discuss our favorite memories and listen to the stories of the people in our community. All ages are welcome! Good Afternoon Jag Families,

I would like to thank everyone that had a chance to come out and support our students’ performance of Grease! It was wonderful to see many of our families, students and staff during the troops first weekend performance of the school year.

Parent teacher conferences will be held next Wednesday, October 18th. Please click the live link for signups or go to the Hilliard Bradley homepage. Directions for signup are available on the sign-up page if needed. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call the main office at 614-921-7400.

Congratulations to the members of the Bradley Marching Band, who competed at the Kettering Invitational this past Saturday. The band placed 2nd overall, and won Best Overall Visual and Best Overall Color Guard. The band has 2 more performances: Saturday 10/21 at Bellbrook, and Saturday 10/28 at OMEA State Finals here at Bradley.

National Merit Awards

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition among high school students for recognition and college scholarships that began in 1955.There are close to 1.3 million entrants in the competition every year.  We are proud to share that this year there are 12 Hilliard students who have received Commended recognition and four students who are semi-finalists and continue to move on in the national competition.  To see the full list from each high school, click here.

We are Hilliard Storytelling Event

Stories are at the heart of a community, and each member of the community has a story to tell. Join Hilliard City Schools and Creating Happy Moments on November 4 at JW Reason Elementary School from 1:30-3:30 for snacks, games, and a community art project. The goal of this multilingual event is to share and learn about the customs, joyful moments, and stories that make Hilliard amazing. Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

It was another great week at 2800 Walker Road. As we head into fall and the final week of the first quarter, I would like to emphasize the importance of staying focused on academics. Please take time to talk with your child to ensure that all assignments, assessments, projects, etc. are complete prior to the end of the quarter Friday, October 13th. Remember that you can look up your child’s progress using Home Access at any time, so you never have to be in the dark about your child’s academic status.

Skilled Trades and Safety Career Expo – October 10th  Skilled Trades Panelists Video

The 3rd annual Skilled Trades and Safety Career Expo is on October 10th at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, Ohio. This event is for all 10th and 11th-grade students in Hilliard City Schools, Interested Seniors, and Tolles Students.

The Skilled Trades and Safety Career Expo provides knowledge and hands-on experiences to students for pathways for viable career opportunities after graduation. The event is partnered with the Ohio Contractors Association, the Associated General Contractors of America, Building Trades Council, Norwich Twp Fire and EMS, and Hilliard Police Department. With there being such a high demand for skilled trades and safety careers, it is important for students to be educated on various career options.

Technology Protection Plan (TPP)

The Technology Protection Plan (TPP) is still available for purchase. However, the iPad must now be inspected for damage before payment can be accepted. You may send payment, via check or cash, with your student and have them stop in the main office or the media center to begin this process.

Bradley PTO is looking for donations so we can treat the Bradley Staff to a Coffee Cart.  We will do this 4 times a year.  The fall Coffee Cart will be taken around to staff on October 18.   We will need families to sign up by October 11 and have donations to the school by October 18! Donations can be brought to the front office by you (during school hours) or your child can drop them off in the morning as well.   Thank you for your help.  PTO has heard that the Coffee Cart is one of the staff’s favorite things that we do for them! Child Find

Hilliard Schools is responsible for locating any child birth through 21 with a suspected disability who resides within the Hilliard School District.   The school district provides special education services to any child who qualifies as having a disability according to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act ages 3 through 21 years of age.  If you know of a child who is suspected to have a disability, please call Jamie Lennox, Director of Special Education, at 614-921-7000 or contact your building principal for more information.

Las Escuelas de Hilliard son responsables de localizar a cualquier niño desde su nacimiento hasta los 21 años de edad que se sospeche discapacitado y él cual resida dentro de los limites del Distrito Escolar de Hilliard.  El Distrito Escolar proporciona servicios de Educación Especial a cualquier niño que califique como tal, de acuerdo con la Ley del Mejoramiento Educativo pará los Individuos con Discapacidades (IDEIA de acuerdo con sus siglas en ingles) o la Sección 504 de la Ley Rehabilitación para las edades comprendidas entre los 3 hasta los 21 años de edad.  Si Usted conoce a algún niño con discapacidades o tiene la sospecha de que sufre de alguna, por favor comuníquese con la Señora Jamie Lennox, Directora de Educación Especial,  al teléfono 614-921-7000  o contáctese con el Director de la Escuela correspondiente a su área para mas información.
