Darby High School Fine Arts department!
With over five band ensembles, four orchestras, over a half dozen choirs and vocal ensembles and a vital theater program, our department serves a large portion of the total high school population and gives students a wealth of opportunities to excel in instrumental and vocal music and dramatic arts.
Students are able to hone their performance skills in a variety of small and large group music ensemble settings. Each year the theater troupe stages two main-stage productions, two student-directed black-box theater shows, and a full-scale musical in the spring. Darby’s bands, choirs, and orchestras have consistently earned superior ratings at adjudicated events at the district, state, and national levels and are recognized for their excellence.
The Visual Arts Department at Hilliard Darby High School offers a variety of courses and experiences including two-dimensional art classes in drawing, painting, photography, and media arts. For the student who likes to work in three dimensions, classes in sculpture and ceramics are available.
