The Choirs
8th Grade Treble Choir is open to any 8th grade student who sings soprano, mezzo, or alto. This choir continues to focus on proper vocal technique, tone, and production as students progress through their choral music journey. Students further develop their knowledge of sight reading, singing in different languages/styles, singing in two or three part literature, and music theory terms. Choir is a performance based, graded class. Concerts are mandatory and occur in the evenings at least four times throughout the academic year.
General Information
Heritage Choir is comprised of approximately 150 students. The goal of Heritage Choir is to provide a safe environment for students to learn and grow as musicians and people. Students in choir will learn to sight read, read music in two to three parts, enhance their music literacy, and perform at a high caliber. Students sing music from the OMEA class A and B lists at the junior high level. Students become part of a choir family centered around trust, musicianship, and friendship.
