Ridgewood's 50th Birthday!

Dress up week for Ridgewood’s 50th Celebration
As part of the celebration of Ridgewood 50th year, the children, if they choose, will be dressing up the week of Monday April 9 – Thursday, April 12. They will dress in the style of a different decade each day. Below are some suggested clothing ideas. :

· Mon. April 9: 60’s - tie-dye T-shirts

· Tues. April 10: 70’s - possibly flare pants – sweat pants or running pants (jogging suits were popular – shiny fabric clothes)

· Wed. April 11: 80’s - big hair & fluorescents

· Thurs. April 12: 90’s and 2000’s - leggings, headscarves, oversized t-shirts, soccer shorts.

Tom's Shoes Donation

This is a video of WALKATHON 2010 TOMS shoes getting personally donated to kids in the
Dominican Republic by Principal Tamar Campbell-Sauer and son Logan Sauer. Tamar and Logan traveled to the La Urena area of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to a school and orphanage to donate the
35 pairs of shoes students at Ridgewood Elementary School raised money to buy during the PTO Walkathon in the fall of 2010. (Trip paid for personally. No school funds were used.)

Third Grade Performs Heroes and Tall Tales

Parents and Students were entertained by third grade students as they shared their knowledge of heroes from the past during the musical.

All students had a chance to view artwork from third graders during the Gallery Hop.
