Dear Memorial Families:

Can you believe it – last week was the first week of the LAST grading period of the school year! Let’s make this one count! It’s a busy time for us as we begin preparing for the OST after spring break. We will be talking with students about taking their time on these tests, using some important test-taking strategies, and even some relaxation tips to be in the right headspace. And we are also planning for some big celebrations after!

Congratulations to our students who were inducted into the Memorial Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. It was a great celebration!

Archie Griffen Award

If you are an 8th grader who has played 4 seasons of sports at Hilliard Memorial and are interested in applying for the Archie Griffin Award, please stop by the guidance office. Pick up your application from Ms. Ysseldyke. Please see the timeline below.

• Applicant Interviews: Interviews held the week of April 20th, 2026.

• Awards Announced: Monday, May 4th, 2026.

New District Web Page Coming Soon

We are excited to share that the newly redesigned district and school websites will launch on March 30. The updated sites will load faster, be more accessible on mobile devices, and reflect strengthened cybersecurity practices.

As part of those security improvements, staff email addresses will no longer appear on webpages. Families are encouraged to communicate with schools through ParentSquare, which allows for secure, streamlined messaging.

Please note the main URL will remain the same… www.hilliardschools.org, however, some sub-site/underlying links will change. Thus, saved bookmarks or QR codes from the existing HCSD website may not work after cutting over to the new Site.

Please note that during the morning of March 30, our websites will be temporarily unavailable as we complete the transition.
