Dear Memorial Families:

This coming week, our school will observe Veterans Day and Military Appreciation Week with several special activities to honor those who have served our country. Our students have placed flags in front of our school to honor veterans and service members. On Tuesday, we will recognize our Purple Star families with Muffins for Military—a special event to celebrate our military-connected students and families. Finally, students are encouraged to participate in themed dress-up days to show school pride and appreciation for our military community.

These events are designed to help our students learn about service and sacrifice while showing appreciation for our military families.

Thank you for supporting our school community as we honor our nation’s heroes!

It’s also Musical Week! Frozen Jr is on Friday and Saturday. Good luck to all students who are involved.

Ski and Board Club Is Coming!

The Annual HMS / MMS Ski & Board Club Information Meeting :

The annual meeting for the HMS / MMS Ski and Board Club was held last week.

Students who are interested in joining can find information on how to sign up within the Ski and Board Club Google Packet.

Windows to join are officially open (see the link / Google Doc). Deadlines to sign up with Mad River and to pay the Bus Fees are due on December 15, 2025.

Contact Mr. Aaron Kingcade (HMS) and Mr. Eric Gingerich (MMS) for further details.

Hilliard City Schools is committed to supporting the well-being of our students and families. We recognize that, from time to time, families may face challenges in accessing consistent, nutritious food.

If your family could use some extra support, our partners at the Hilliard Food Pantry are here to help. The pantry serves all residents within the Hilliard City School District. Click here for details on hours, location, and how to receive assistance.

A few reminders about our school meal programs:

• Families already approved for free meals will continue receiving them throughout the 2025–26 school year.

• Families who may qualify are encouraged to apply at frapps.horizonsolana.com/hilc04 or by submitting a printable application to the district office or your child’s school.

• Encouraging students who qualify for free meals to eat breakfast and lunch at school is a great way to stretch family food budgets.

• Even for full-pay families, school meals offer a nutritious and affordable option compared to packed lunches or restaurant meals.
