To prepare all students without exception to be Ready for Tomorrow, we must create authentic partnerships with our community. We want to hear your ideas, thoughts, and opinions about how your schools should approach a changing landscape. That’s why the Hilliard Board of Education created the Community Conversation Program. How we educate students is changing rapidly. There are many choices about how schools will look and work as we move forward. These decisions need to be made as a community and with the consideration of many different voices. We need to understand our residents and build a better relationship between the school district and the community. This demands a different kind of conversation. Sometimes, that will mean reaching out to a specific group in our community. Other times, it means defining an issue or topic that demands community input. There will be board members and district administrators at each conversation. These will happen quarterly. Exciting News! We are RE-OPENING the store for Team T-Shirts if anyone wanted to order. Team T-Shirts are available for your child to show their spirit for Station and their Team. We will wear these periodically throughout the year–during Spirit Weeks, big events, and on Team Shirt Tuesday. These shirts are NOT required–just a fun way to show spirit. The shirts all have the same design, but each team has a distinct color shirt and their team on the back. Team colors are: Team C: Red Team O: Orange Team U: Yellow Team G: Green Team A: Blue Team R: Purple Team S: Pink Team 30: Navy The link below leads to the online order form through Powell Prints. Note that each shirt has an adult size and a youth size option. Also, the final spot on the order form is an opportunity to ‘pay it forward’ and purchase an additional shirt for a student that may not be monetarily able to purchase a shirt. https://powellprints.chipply.com/stationteam23/
We want to give a HUGE shout out to all of our students for not only meeting but FAR EXCEEDING our September ‘90 for 9’ school-wide attendance challenge. Friday was the final school day of September, and we crushed it with a 94% attendance rate for the day. For an October attendance challenge, students were invited to submit slogans, and options were voted on during Power Up on Friday. The winner will be announced and the October challenge will kick off on Monday.
Our Fall Fundraiser is underway! Students have the opportunity to sell gourmet popcorn and tubs of cotton candy, made by ‘SnackAttack Made in the USA”. Checks should be made out to Hilliard Station PTO. Delivery of items is anticipated the week of October 30th or sooner. Throughout the sale, we will have several order collection dates so that students do not have to hold on to money. The first collection date will be MONDAY during Power Up! They do not have to turn in their orders at this time, but are welcome to! The sale runs until October 9th. Thank you, in advance, for supporting our PTO! We are asking you to support us in this endeavor in order to fund all of the activities, trips, and student incentives we have in place for students at Station including the pool party, Darby Creek team trip, track and field day, team activities, lasting improvements, and teacher appreciation, to name a few. Every sale counts and all of the money raised will go directly to benefiting the students at Station.
