School Play:  Our school Play “The Light in the Library” is coming this week. February 23rd and February 24 at 7 pm each night.  Tickets are sold online through Local Level Events.  Please click on the link to purchase tickets.
Adults $10.  Students $7.00

YEARBOOK:  Yearbook order forms are available at lunch or in the Main office. Orders are due NEXT Week !  You can also order online at the following link. Look for Hilliard Heritage Middle School when ordering online. The deadline for orders is February 27, 2023
HR Imaging Yearbook

Arlington National Cemetery Wreath Layer application due soon! Essays are due next Friday, February 24th by 2:40pm to Miss Stout. Please see QR code in social studies classes or reach out to Miss Stout for the application details.

All trips should be paid in full no later than Friday, March 10. 

Track & Field: If you are interested in Track this spring, please see Mrs. Kingcade in room 243 before or after school.  Parent meeting at HMS on Monday, February 27th  @ 6 pm.  Practice starts Tuesday, February 28th. Physicals and Final Forms accounts must be completed before participation.

Attention all 8th grade boys’ soccer players… If you are interested in playing for the boys soccer team at Darby next year, Look for the flyers in the hallways and scan the QR code below and fill out the player interest form. We will begin offseason strength training and small sided games after Spring Break!

BLACK HISTORY MONTH:  John Lewis grew up in an era of racial segregation. Inspired by Martin Luther King Jr., he joined the civil rights movement. Lewis was a Freedom Rider, spoke at the 1963 March on Washington, was elected to Congress in 1986, and he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011. John Lewis continued to fight for people’s rights until his death in July of 2020.  One of his famous quotes in regards to social activism is  “Get in good trouble, necessary trouble.” Read March in the HMS Media Center. This book presents in graphic novel format events from the life of Georgia congressman John Lewis, focusing on his youth in rural Alabama, his meeting with Martin Luther King Jr., and the birth of the Nashville Student Movement. Dodgeball Tournament:  Mark your calendars for the Heritage Dodgeball Tournament right after school on Friday, March 10th.  Teams of 6 will compete for the championship.  Look for more information including details for team signups later this month.
