Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,
I would like to begin by thanking everyone that had a chance to come out and support our band and choir performances this week. It was great to see so many of our families come out and support the hard work of our talented students.
This week, over 400 of our Junior students took the SAT exam on Wednesday. We are excited to see the results and celebrate our students’ growth.
Good luck to Audrey Slivka, Maddie Smith and Kelly Lemons who will compete in the OHSAA State Wrestling Championships at The Schott this weekend. The girl’s bowling team will be competing in the OHSAA bowling state championship today at 10:00 am for the second time in school history. Good luck Kay Butcher, Cameryn Gale, Rachel Johnson, Avery Hinton, Natalee Kamn, and Hayli Patterson.
Finally, as we conclude the third quarter, please review your child’s grades and discuss strengths and areas for improvement to set goals for the second quarter. Take time to celebrate your child’s successes and continue to work with their respective teachers to achieve any improvement that needs to be made.
Have a great weekend! Go Jags!!!
Set Up Regular Check-ins
Reach out to your child’s teacher regularly to check in on their attendance, behavior, and academic performance. Regular communication will help you stay informed and allow you to address any issues early on.

Early Out / Late In / Extended Lunch
Attention parents & guardians of rising Juniors & rising Seniors! Is your student interested in an early out, a late in or an extended lunch next year? If so, please make sure they turn in their green permission form, signed by a parent/guardian, by FRIDAY, MARCH 14. If they do not turn this in, they are not guaranteed to get this adjustment in their schedule next year. Please help us remind your student that early outs, late ins, and extended lunches are a privilege and not a guarantee. See your student’s counselor with questions.
Honors Diploma
Do you have a Senior who believes they are eligible for the Honors Diploma? Did they complete the Honors Diploma Application in January? If so, they will know by next Friday, March 14, if they are eligible for the Honors Diploma at graduation. We will post the names outside of Student Support Services on that day and if their name is not on that list, they must schedule a time to see your counselor as soon as possible.
Local Scholarships
Local scholarships are being uploaded to Schoolinks frequently. Please check and begin applying.
Selective Service
It is federal law that all 18-year-old males register with the Selective Service. Go to: https://www.sss.gov/register/. Note: CCP students who are 18 years old will need to send their Selective Service Number to the college they are taking classes with otherwise they will charge the student “out of state” fees for those classes. If the university is asking for your Selective Service Number, you must send it to them.
Seniors
Graduation (Ceremony) Participation Verification

Additionally, the Hilliard Memorial Middle School 8th Grade Treble Choir was also selected for this prestigious honor! Congratulations to all the talented students and directors for this incredible achievement!
