Good Afternoon Jaguar Parents,

It was another great week at Bradley High School. I would like to begin by thanking Nancy Ysseldyke for her hard work putting together the Bradley High School Military Appreciation Night. The night was a success, and we look forward to more events like this as we continue to work to recognize our military families in Hilliard.

I would like to thank all of our families and staff who had an opportunity to attendHilliard Bradley Theater’s presentation of Arsenic and Old Lace last weekend. We are so proud of our talented students!

We will hold virtual and in-person parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, February 14 from 2:45 pm to 7:00 pm. The signup window is open. Please click the following link for signups. Please do not hesitate to contact me or your student’s teacher with immediate questions or concerns.

Congratulations to the Bradley Ethics Bowl team comprised of seniors Reem Kadimi Skalli, Noha Abu, Lindsey Cruz-Garcia, Sammi Lewis, and junior Noelle Demianenko, for their excellent performance at the Ohio High School Regional Ethics Bowl Contest, held at the University of Findlay on Saturday, January 27th.  Bradley won or tied all three of their preliminary rounds, and they defeated Hilliard Darby in the final round to advance to the Divisional Playoff against the Cincinnati High School Ethics Bowl Regional winner on Wednesday, February 7th. The winner of that competition will advance to the National competition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in April! Excellent work ladies and good luck in the next round!

Finally, at Hilliard City Schools, our core mission is to prepare students to be Ready for Tomorrow.  We believe every student possesses the ability to achieve this mission.  Whether your child dreams of becoming a scientist, an artist, a teacher or joining the military, consistent attendance sets the stage for their success to become resilient learners.  Regular attendance is the cornerstone of how to make this happen for every student, without exception.

Have a Great Weekend and Go Jags!

HILLIARD BRADLEY THEATER PRESENTS “QUICKSHOT’S ALIBI”

One show only, Friday February 9 at 7 pm (doors open at 6:40 pm)

Hilliard Bradley High School, Performing Arts Center

Admission is FREE (we will be accepting donations at the door)

This year, Bradley Theater’s annual student one act (written, directed, and run by our theater students) was based on a script writing contest.  The winner was “Quickshot’s Alibi” by Madison Sheard.  It is being directed by Julian Perez.

“It’s the heart of the Goldrush era, and Canyon Springs has been overrun by a group of outlaws who call themselves “The Blackheart Mafia.” Naturally, the townsfolk turn to local hero, Quickshot, to put an end to the mafia’s tyrannical rule. Yet, unfortunate timing would see her retire just before their arrival, and she’s not looking to get back into crime fighting. In a shocking turn of events, an all too eager member of The Blackheart Mafia inspires Quickshot to put her personal grievances aside, and fight for the greater good to save Canyon Springs. Unbeknownst to Quickshot, the one who took her out of the business is the one to drag her right back in.”
Description from Troupe 7415’s Instagram page, @bradley_theater.

We are looking for 10th & 11th grade students who are:

*Independent, original thinkers
*Intellectually curious, creative or unique
*Interested in the arts and creative expression
*Motivated by “real life” learning experiences
*Committed to having a voice and making a difference

Imagine spending your junior and senior years learning through hands-on activities, interactions with guest speakers, and explorations of our city. Live your education by enrolling in Mosaic, a half-day humanities program located in downtown Columbus that invites students from all over Franklin County to breathe life into their academic studies. Utilizing inquiry-based methodologies to facilitate college readiness, Mosaic prides itself on celebrating each student by creating a community that supports and encourages every voice in the room. Students will also focus on “real world” skills needed to succeed beyond graduation such as collaborative and leadership skills, as well as internship and Capstone project skills. Mosaic is taught by an English and Social Studies facilitator to create a cross-content learning experience unique in Columbus. Learn more by visiting experiencemosaic.org1 English Credit, 1 Social Studies Credit, and 1 Elective Credit – 3 periods per day
