Hilliard and Dublin City Schools are partnering in several community book talks centered around the book The Gift of Failure: How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So Their Child Can Succeed. As part of our Next X initiative, our district is committed to cultivating healthy mental well-being and social-emotional skills to prepare students and staff to interpret and respond to situations with intentional behavior, empathy, and resilience. One of our goals is to partner with social, medical, and mental health services to promote collaboration with schools, families, and communities. We have put together a video where you can hear from students and staff about one of those partnerships, Challenge Day.
Renaissance Holiday Child Care
On Thursday, December 19th from 6-9pm the Hilliard Davidson Renaissance Club will host a babysitting event in the Davidson field house. Davidson’s Renaissance club is a service based club that aims to better the Hilliard community through the volunteer work its members do. The babysitting event will be run by students and teachers involved in Renaissance. It is open to all school aged children K-5 and there will be games, crafts, movies, and a small snack of popcorn and juice provided. This event is meant to give parents the opportunity to go out holiday shopping, wrap gifts, or just to have a night away from the kids. You must sign up as they will be accepting the first 100 kids to sign up.
