Bradley Orchestra
The Orchestras
Chamber Orchestra is comprised of the most advanced string players who can demonstrate the highest level of proficiency on violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, or harp. Acceptance into this group is by audition only.
The members of the Chamber Orchestra should be prepared for a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule, including but not limited to six performances, state contests, convention performances, and clinics. Students in this group are expected to make all performances, including those that will involve travel or touring.
Prerequisites: Permission of Instructor is Required / Audition Required
Symphony Orchestra is comprised of advanced string players who can demonstrate a high level of proficiency on violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, or harp. Acceptance into this group is by audition only.
The members of the Symphony Orchestra should be prepared for a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule, including but not limited to four in-school performances, state contests, convention performances, and clinics. Students in this group are expected to make all performances including those which may involve travel or touring.
Prerequisites: Permission of Instructor is Required / Audition Required
A Concert Orchestra is composed of string players who can demonstrate proficiency on violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, or harp. The members of the Concert Orchestra should be prepared for a performance schedule that includes three to four performances per year and may also include adjudication.
Students in this group are expected to make all performances associated with the group.
Prerequisites: Permission of Instructor is Required / Audition Required

Erin Broadhurst (Bachelor of Music Education, Baldwin-Wallace College; Master of Music Viola Performance & Master of Arts String Pedagogy, The Ohio State University) has taught for nearly 20 years in Hilliard City Schools. She was designated the Ohio String Teachers Association’s Orchestra Teacher of the Year in 2022 and Young Teacher of the Year in 2003. She has presented several clinics, ASTA national conferences and OMEA state conferences, and regularly presents clinics at the OSU String Teacher Workshop. Mrs. Broadhurst is incredibly grateful for the terrific students and colleagues she gets to work with every day at Bradley, Memorial and Station!

Samantha Marcrum graduated from The Ohio State University with her bachelor degree in music education. Before teaching in Hilliard City Schools, Ms. Marcrum taught at Perrysburg Schools.

Region Orchestra
The South Central Region Orchestra is a select orchestra into which students may audition between March and May each year by submitting an audio audition file through an online portal.
