The Ensembles

7th Grade Treble Choir is open to all seventh-grade female-identifying students who are interested in singing and performing. The group will focus on developing proper vocal production and technique. This choir involved three to four co-curricular performances throughout the school year. Performances are graded, required part of the curriculum and occur in the evening.

8th Grade Treble Choir is open to all seventh-grade female-identifying students who are interested in singing and performing. The group will focus on developing proper vocal production and technique. 7th & 8th Grade Tenor-Bass Choir is open to all seventh and eighth grade male-identifying students who are interested in singing and performing. This group will focus on developing proper vocal production and technique. This choir involves three to four co-curricular performances throughout the school year. Performances are graded, required part of the curriculum and occur in the evening.

Weaver Select Singers are in 7th and 8th grade. All students in this group are auditioned and demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency in a choral setting. Students in this group perform three to four time during the school year including special events.

Jeannette Muzzalupo
Weaver Middle School Choir Director
Mrs. Muzzalupo has been teaching for over 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree for vocal music education from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Science degree in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University. Jeannette is the choir director and general music instructor at Hilliard Weaver Middle School in Hilliard, Ohio where she has taught since 2009. She leads the 7th Grade Treble Choir, the 8th Grade Treble Choir, the 7th and 8th Grade Tenor-Bass Choir, and the Weaver Select Singers Choir. In addition to her work with music, Jeannette has served as a Year One Ohio Resident Educator Mentor for new teachers and a supervising teacher for multiple student teachers. While at Weaver Middle School, Jeannette has served on multiple school leadership teams and committees. She also enjoys leading the students at Weaver Middle School in leadership and service projects, running Cybercats Video Game Club and helping with the yearly school play. Jeannette is lovingly supported by her husband, Chett, and parents, Betty and Dave Moody.
Joshua Dufford
Davidson High School Choir Director
Mr. Dufford oversees the Davidson Choral Department and directs the Tenor/Bass Concert Choir, Symphonic Choir, Senior Choir, and Blue Kids on the Block. Additionally, Mr. Dufford co-teaches the 7th & 8th Grade Tenor/Bass Ensemble at Weaver Middle School with Mrs. Muzzalupo. Originally from Pickerington, Ohio, Mr. Dufford joined the Davidson Choral Department in the Fall of 2021. Mr. Dufford has taught K-12 music in the Columbus, Cincinnati, and Toledo areas prior to his appointment at Davidson. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Otterbein University and his Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Bowling Green State University. In addition to his role at Davidson High School, Mr. Dufford is also the Director of Traditional Music at Indian Run UMC and is Co-Chair for the Ohio Choral Directors Association’s High School Honor Choir.
Siri Nguyen
Davidson Choir Asst. Director
Mrs. Nguyen directs the Symphonic Choir and Soprano/Alto Concert choir and assists Mr. Dufford with the direction of Tenor/Bass Concert Choir, Senior Choir, and Blue Kids on the Block. Mrs. Nguyen graduated from Capital University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education. In her last year at Capital, Mrs. Nguyen was named the winner of the Conservatory of Music Concerto Competition for Solo Performance, which allowed her to sing with Capital’s Symphonic Winds band on Carnegie Hall stage. Originally from Gahanna, Ohio, Mrs. Nguyen has taught K-12 music around the greater Columbus area and joined the Davidson Choral Department in the Fall of 2024.
