The Bands

Membership in Cadet Band is elective and selective. The ensemble will develop advanced musicianship and skills through daily rehearsals and participation. Music will be selected from many different styles and music periods. Students in this group are expected to participate in all performances associated with the group.

Welcome to the Weaver Middle School Band Webpage! There are always exciting things happening in the Weaver Band, and we work hard to make the band and music department reach its full potential.

Learning to be a part of a group is a valuable educational experience. Through the study of music, you also learn dedication, dependability, camaraderie, and leadership. Each student is important to the entire group’s performance, Therefore, parents, teachers, and students must work together to emphasize these goals.

Part of the fun of the band is the challenge to perform at a higher level at each concert! I have a strong commitment to musical excellence that drives my class. I ask that my students do their best each day and always work to make their best a little better.

Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.     -Pele

Angela Davoll
Director
Angela Davoll, the Director of Bands at Hilliard Weaver Middle School, has taught for the Hilliard City School District for 28 years and is currently in her 32nd year of teaching. Angela holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Capital University and a Master of Arts in Music Education degree from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Hilliard City School district, Ms. Davoll taught instrumental music at Archbishop John Carroll High School and Groveport Madison Schools. She is an active guest conductor, presenter, and adjudicator around Ohio and Virginia.
