The Bands

Cadet Band is the natural progression for 7th graders after completing 6th grade band. Students will complete musical and rehearsal objectives in preparation for Concert and/or Symphonic Band. Cadet Band participates in 4-6 performances a year, including OMEA Large Group Contest.

Concert Band offers an elevated musical experience for students as they progress beyond the basics. Through more advanced repertoire, students refine their skills and deepen their understanding of ensemble performance. Participation in Concert Band is limited to students who show advanced musical skill and effort. Students participate in 4-6 performances each school year, including OMEA Large Group Contest.

With a focus on advanced repertoire and precision in ensemble performance, students in Symphonic Band perform the most difficult music of our three bands.
