Riding a bus with a friend:  At this time, transportation is still not allowing extra riders on our buses due to current capacity.

Student Parking at school:  Please make sure you park in the student lot at the north (stadium) side of the building (the parking lot between Bradley and Memorial.  There is no student parking in the front lots that face Walker Rd.  We are starting to check cars parked in the front.

 

Still in place- NO Change or Vending Machine refunds:  The office does not have change or refunds.  For refunds, you will need to call the number on the machine.

 

JUST A REMINDER

 

If you drive to school, you need to register your car.  There is no cost, but you must be registered. 

Go to Canvas, then “announcements” from the beginning of the school year, fill out the google doc and come to the Main Office for your parking tag.  Reminder that parking for students is on the north side of the building.  That is the lot between Bradley and Memorial all the spots in front of the stadium.

 

Parents / Students:  If a student has a zoom/in-building appointment with an outside source, and they will be staying in the building for this, they still need a parent permission note for missing class(es).  This is the same procedure as though they are leaving the building.  They will need to sign out and back in at the Attendance office to make sure they get excused.  It can be reported in School Messenger, or an email, hbrattendance@hboe.org, or give your student a note to give the attendance office.

If we don’t receive notification from parents, the student will be unexcused.

There are many clubs to join.  Check the list on the Bradley website or stop in the office for the list to see what you might be interested in.

If you want to start a new club, you will need to find a teacher advisor and submit their name along with an explanation of your club idea to cort_hamilton@hboe.org.

 

Art club will meet every other Thursday in room C104 after school until 3:30 pm.  Second semester dates coming soon.

 

Check out this new club this year!  CAP Club meets on a monthly basis to discuss and act on how to a make our community a better place.

Commons.  All current team members are invited, but we would also like to invite new golfers interested in joining the girls team in the Fall of 2023.  Lunch will be provided, time to play on the golf simulator, and a white elephant gift exchange.  Don’t buy anything, just re-gift something (in good condition) that you have at your house.  Wrap your re-gifted item and bring it with you to the party.  Pizza, salad, dessert and drinks will be provided.  Please use REPLY LINK to let me know you will be attending.  Questions??? Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

Next week Bradley High School will be operating on our semester exam schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Please be sure to check the schedule so you are aware of the changes that will be made to our normal daily procedure.

Notes: 

-Students are not required to be here if they do not have an exam on a particular day.

-Students are not required to be here until their scheduled exam.

-Students are not required to stay after the last exam of the day.  Students will be allowed to leave after the last exam of the day at 11:00am.  If students exit the building after 11:00am, they will not be allowed to re-enter unless approved by the administration.

-Lunch will be provided to all students from 11:00am-12:00pm on exam days.

-Buses will run on our normal schedule.  If students ride the bus in the afternoon, they have a couple of options:

1. From 12:00-2:32pm, they can attend a scheduled review session with their teacher(s).

2. Sit quietly in the commons, where they will be monitored by our study hall staff and hall monitors. Students will not be allowed to enter the academic hallways after 12:00pm unless they are in a class review session or making up an exam.

Tuesday, December 13th and Wednesday, December 14th beginning at 7:00pm, Bradley High School will be hosting its annual Winter Fest in the Performing Arts Center. During Tuesday night’s event, the Bradley High School Art Department will also be hosting its Winter Art Show and Ceramics Sale from 6-8pm in the Bradley Art Hallway.

Finally, next Friday, will be the last official day of school for students before we begin winter break. Have a great weekend and Go Jags!

In order for athletes to participate, all of the following must take place.  **Physicals must be updated prior to participation.  Upload two forms from the physical — Physical Exam Form and Medical Eligibility Form — to the parent’s Final Forms account (paper physicals will not be accepted).  **Both athlete and a parent/guardian must sign all forms in Final Forms.  **Participation Fees must be paid prior to the first competition through your MyPaymentsPlus account (check or cash will not be accepted).  All athletes, including free or reduced lunch, must complete the payment process through MyPaymentsPlus.  Free or reduced lunch must check out through MyPaymentsPlus by paying half (reduced lunch) or $0 (free lunch) payment.  Fees must be paid prior to the first competition.

ATHLETES MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITIVE SEASON UNTIL ALL OF THE ABOVE IS COMPLETED.

Attention Sophomores:  

HOBY is designed for high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them in becoming effective, ethical leaders in their home, schools, workplace and community.  The high level of energy, encouragement and motivation as well as the interaction with peers, panelists and volunteers are important elements in nurturing the students’ future leadership roles. In addition, students participate in hands-on leadership activities and meet state leaders in such areas as business, government, education, media and the non-profit sector.  If selected, you will spend 4 days in June at a leadership seminar on the campus of Marietta College.  If you are interested in attending, please submit a 100 word essay on the most rewarding and difficult aspect of being a leader in your school and/or community.  Please turn in the essay to Mrs. Holt in Student Support Services by Thursday, December 8th.
