  • Internal Speed Test
Test NETWORK (wired or wireless) speeds to COA. This helps determine if it might be a building/district-wide issue.   If this shows speeds above 20+ Mbps there’s probably not an issue inside the District.
  • Crown Castle
    (Choose Worthington, OH)
Tests NETWORK (wired or wireless) speeds to one of our ISPs. Used to check if it might be an issue between us and our ISPs. If this shows speeds above 20+ Mbps it’s probably not an “US” issue.
  • External Speed Test
Test NETWORK (wired or wireless) speeds to the Internet in general. This helps determine if it might be a city/state/national issue. If this shows speeds above 20+ Mbps there’s probably not an issue at all.
  • JAMF
  • Ruckus Speedflex (iPad/iPhone)
This can test WIFI speeds back to
    1) COA (Use 10.4.228.104 as the destination) – (“Good” speeds depend on # of clients)
     OR
    2) an AP in the building (need to call Netadmins to get IP address to test this).
This checks if it’s a WiFi issue or a network issue.
  • Wifi Analyzer/AirPort Utility (Android/iOS device)
Tests for WiFi signal strength in an area. Any “set” of signals in the range of -30db to -70db is considered “good”. There may be multiple APs represented, but only one needs to show in this range to be considered good.
