Our Transportation Team is once again excited to announce the First Time Riders Event will take place on August 13, from 8 AM until Noon at Weaver Middle School. Your student can learn about bus safety, ride a bus, and have more fun. It’s a great opportunity to introduce young students to riding a bus for the first time.
The Hilliard City Schools Department of Wellness is proud to host Chelsea Merriman Tobias, LISW-S from Eating and Behavioral Health Associates, for a Parent University Program. Chelsea, a Hilliard Schools graduate, will lead a conversation about eating disorders and related behaviors for adults who are supporting children struggling with disordered eating. Chelsea is an independently licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults who struggle with issues related to food, body image, anxiety, depression, and trauma. This event will be held in the Media Center at Heritage Middle School on April 20 at 7:00 pm. Please reach out to Alex_Beekman@hboe.org with questions.

Students were able to see “life” from a rock’s perspective as they traveled wherever the forces of nature took them – some were stuck in a volcano for quite some time, while others enjoyed the view from high up in the mountains! We learned that a rock’s experiences are anything BUT predictable! After the journey through the rock cycle, students created a digital scrapbook page to highlight some key stops and how they (the rock) was “feeling” along the way! Enjoy!
