The Scholastic Book Fair is here at Heritage Middle School from October 31 through November 4! Students can shop in person at the Fair throughout the school days this week in the Media Center, along with the Fair will be available online for parents and families to shop from October 31 to November 13. The theme for this year’s Fair is Books Bring Us Together. Support our school by buying books, gifts, and encourage the joy of reading. You can set up your student’s eWallet account for cashless, stress-less shopping on the Book Fair Homepage.
Veteran’s Day: Do you have any veterans in your family who have served or are currently serving our country? They are invited to attend our Veterans Day celebration! On November 10th from 8am-9:30am in the media center, the Heritage Middle School Panther Ambassadors will be sponsoring a breakfast and ceremony for any veteran. See the flyers in your teacher’s classrooms and around the building for more info!!
Native American Heritage Month: The first year of dedicating November as “National American Indian Heritage Month” was in 1990, proclaimed by President George H.W. Bush, and has continued each year under subsequent presidents. Under President Barack Obama in 2009, the celebration title was changed to “National Native American Heritage Month.” It is a time to celebrate the culture, accomplishments, and contributions of people who were the first inhabitants of the United States.
