NJHS:  Attention any 8^th grader interested in applying to the National Junior Honor Society. We will hold an informational meeting on Tuesday, December 6^th in the media center beginning promptly at 7:40am. Please view the application here, due by January 6th.

SKI CLUB:  Handouts with all of the information about Ski Club are in the Main Office.  If you have signed up for Ski Club, or are interested in Ski Club, please pick up an information packet in the Main Office.

Basketball:  8th grade girls beat Finland MS 38-18.  Our next game is Tuesday Dec 6th at Norton MS.

The 8th grade boys’ basketball team beat Finland Vikings last night 68-30! The Panthers continue to play hard and fast and looking forward to getting better each week! Next game will be at home Tuesday 12/6 @ 6:45p come out and support your Panthers in welcoming Norton Wildcats to the Jungle!!!!!!!

The 7^th grade boys’ basketball team improved their record to 3-0 last night.  The Panthers beat Finland 44-10.  The Panthers are off until next Tuesday when they play Norton at home at 5:30.

Girls Flex Basketball  Team was defeated by New Albany in a physical game.  Scoring for the Panthers were Yara Wilhelm, Kylie Morris and Madison Morris

The Heritage 7^th grade boys’ basketball team beat McCord last night 44-43.  The Panther clawed their way back in the 4^th quarter to take the lead in the final seconds.  It was a total team effort.  The Panthers play next at home against Finland on Thursday at 5:30.

Native American Heritage Month:  There are currently 574 different federally recognized Native American tribes (approximately 229 are located in Alaska, and the rest are located in 35 other states). In the Destiny Discover Collection titled Indigenous People there are many informative books in the Heritage Media Center to learn about Native Americans and their culture. Check out these nonfiction books: 100 Native Americans who have changed American history by Bonnie Juettner, Native Americans and the reservation in American history by Anita McCormick, and Native American Religions by Rob Staeger.

Girls flex basketball started off their season with a 22-20 win over Tree of Life Christian School.  It was great team effort. The leading scorer for the Panthers was Bella Nelson with 15 points and scoring contributors were also made by Madison & Kylie Morris and Marisa Brannan.  The Panthers return to action today at New Albany.
