Three Hilliard Schools Win State Report Card Award

Congratulations to both Weaver and Heritage Middle Schools and Crossing Elementary for achieving the Momentum Award for results on the 2022-2023 report card! The Momentum Award is for a school who has improved their performance index by 3 or more points from the 2021-2022 report card to the 2022-2023 report AND received a value-added rating of 4 or more stars.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Director Stephen Dackin said, “This remarkable accomplishment reflects your unwavering commitment to excellence and the outstanding services you provide to your students and the community. It recognizes the devoted teachers and staff who consistently go above and beyond, ensuring that all students receive exceptional learning and instruction. Your tireless efforts in nurturing young minds, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting holistic development has not gone unnoticed.”

Hilliard City Schools Earn Purple Star Award

Hilliard Darby High School and Washington Elementary have been recognized as a Purple Star School by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. This award celebrates the school’s dedication to supporting military-connected students and their families. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement! These two join Davidson and Bradley High Schools which have already been designated as Purple Star Schools.

Boys Baseball: The 7th grade boys baseball team brought home the first win of the season last night with a 24-0 shutout over Hastings. Parker Beams and Aiden Cornel led the Panthers with 4 hits each, while Mack Thomas and Eric Scoville pitched 5 scoreless innings for the win.

The 8^th grade Heritage boys baseball are now 3-0 on the season with a 12-3 Win over Dublin Davis MS. Landen Rogner led all scoring with 7 goals, Mason Gloeckner with 2 and Brody Stower, Rowan Vroom and Brayden Scott each adding a goal. Ben Trout played strong again in goal with 12 saves. Luca Apicella was 11 for 12 at the faceoff X. Next game is next Monday 4/15 at Hilliard Memorial at 5:30PM.

Girls’ Softball: The eighth-grade girls softball team went to Dublin Davis and pulled out of victory 8-6. bleeding the way it was Taylor Geer on the bump and Marley Grigsby and Emma Gerkin at the plate.

Girl’s Lacrosse: The 8^th grade girl’s lacrosse team defeated New Albany on Wednesday night 11-8. The team played hard and goals were scored by Leah Limbird, Dizzy Reichman, and Meredith James.

The 7^th grade girl’s lacrosse team took a tough loss in the last 5 second against New Albany with a final score of 7-8

The Heritage Girl’s Lacrosse Team defeated cross-town rivals, Memorial, Monday night with a score of 22-3! Goals were scored by Leah Limbird, Kendall Clifton, Morgan Cain, Alexa Duncan, Lauren Vincent, Dizzy Reichman, Delilah Klochak, and Dacey Colegrove. The panthers take on Dublin Grizzell at home on Wednesday!

Heritage Boys Lacrosse won the home season opener 12-8 Vs Gahanna Middle School. Scoring was led by Mason Gloeckner with 6 goals and 3 assists, Landen Rogner with 3 Goals and 3 assists, and Brody Stower put 3 goals in to help the team to its 1-0 start. Ben Trout stood tall in goal with 15 saves on the day along Luca Apicella winning 14 of 16 Faceoffs at the X. Heritage has an away game this Wednesday vs Dublin Eversole at 6PM.
