Back to School Social next Friday, September 17th.  It will be held in the Football stadium before the HS football game.  Time is 5-6:30 p.m. Stay on the alert for ticket sales next week.

CLUBS:

Art Club:  Art club will meet on Wednesdays in Room 144. The first meeting is next Wednesday, 9/15.  Any questions, see Ms. Rodriguez.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS:
Do you like to read?  Do you want to meet other students who have a love of reading?  Battle of the Books is a club at Heritage that meets during lunch 1-2 times per month. We read a list of books that are also read by students at Memorial and Weaver.  We study the books and then in the spring our schools hold a quiz “battle” where we answer questions about the books.  Come to Information sessions at Recess during lunch on September 20-22.  See flyers posted in the Media Center and hallways for more information or ask Ms. Best in the Media Center.

Drama Club and Spanish Club:  Look for flyers in the hallway for information.  See Mrs. Lybbert in room 207 for additional information

Panda Club is an opportunity for students to enjoy learning about Asian food, music, games, film, art and culture after school.  It meets once a month (or more!) on the second Tuesday of every month.

This Tuesday 9/14 we will be making Boba Tea (Bubble Tea) after school in room 147 from 2:45pm to 4:00PM.  $1.00 fee per student attending this event to cover the costs for food and supplies for the Boba Tea.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS 

Do you like to read?  Do you want to meet other students who have a love of reading?  Battle of the Books is a club at Heritage that meets during lunch 1-2 times per month. Sports Announcements: 

The girls golf team found their first loss last night against Granville at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. Granville shot 189 while the Panthers shot 218 with Caroline Donato leading the way with a 47. Bella Nelson also drained a 55 foot putt towards the end of the round. The girls team is now 5-1.

The Boys Golf Team took a victory over Gahanna last night at Gahanna Municipal Golf Course 195 – 236. Leading score and Medalist for the Panthers was 7th grader Jensen Webb with a score of 41 and 8th grader Jack Howard with a 49. The boys’ record is now 5-2.

Heritage Girls Tennis played their match against Gahanna East Middle School at Darby Courts.  After a hard fought match, the girls lost 2-3.  Congrats to Mia Prak and the doubles team of Aanya Korra and Elisha Monroy on their tiebreaking wins   Heritage netters will be hosting Waggoner this Thursday at Darby courts.

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students) will have their first meeting Friday, September 17th before school from 7:15-7:45 am in Miss Litt’s room (Room 245). We will have donuts, a game, and an encouraging message. All students are welcome – you do not have to be an athlete. Students can scan the QR code on flyers around the building to sign up or you can just show up that morning. See Miss Litt with any questions.

eSports and Gaming Club will be starting in September, look for flyers or see Mr. Rossi in room 151.

The Boys Golf Team lost to Jonathan Alder last night at Rolling Meadows. It was a good match but the Panthers came up short 187 – 172. Scores that counted were Brayden Brotherton 45, Jensen Webb 46, Niko Caleodis 47, and Landon Stockdale 49. Both boys and girls’ teams will be in action next week on Tuesday and Thursday.

Heritage Girls Tennis team traveled to New Albany Thursday evening.  The netters fought hard but dropped the match 0-5.  Netters will play on Tuesday at home against Gahanna East Middle School at Darby courts.

Both Cross Country teams competed at Groveport Middle School last night.  The Panthers won with perfect team scores in both the Boys and Girls races.

Happy Birthday: Joshua Piko, Jude Campbell, Yulianes Del Valle-Sepulveda

Congratulations to the 7th grade football team for beating Marysville by a score of 36-0.  The Panthers played great in the victory.  Offensively Logan Krooner, Collin Boff, Kohen Kornagay, Brock Jackson, Josh Bowser, Cedric Holman were all able to put points on the board.  Great job Panthers, keep up the strong work!

Heritage Girls Tennis played their match against Pickerington Lakeview last night at Darby Courts.  After a hard fought match, the girls lost 2-3.  First and second doubles won their matches.  While Madison Morris was just edged out in a tie breaker 10-8.   Heritage netters will be traveling to New Albany on Thursday.

The Panthers boys’ soccer team got their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory. Mo Rahal netted the Panthers only goal. Bray Santos and Krishna Perabathini played really hard in the win! The defense, manned mainly by Ashton Davis and Tyler Tripp didn’t allow a single shot
