Hilliard City Schools Hosting Substitute Open House for 2026–2027 School Year
Hilliard City Schools is seeking individuals interested in becoming substitutes for the 2026–2027 school year. Substitute positions provide an important opportunity to support students, teachers, and staff while making a positive impact throughout our schools.
A variety of substitute opportunities are available, including:
- Substitute teachers
- Intervention Assistants (classroom aides)
- Custodians
- Secretaries
- Noon Assistants
- Additional support roles throughout the district
To help interested candidates begin the onboarding process, Hilliard City Schools will host a Substitute Open House on:
Tuesday, August 4, 2026
1–3 p.m.
2140 Atlas Street, Columbus, Ohio
Representatives from Hilliard City Schools and the ESC of Central Ohio will be available during the event to assist candidates with required onboarding steps, including:
- Completing necessary background checks
- Verifying I-9 employment eligibility documents
- Receiving support with required online tasks
For I-9 verification and background check purposes, most individuals will need to bring their driver’s license and Social Security card.
