 SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
OCTOBER 9 – 13

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Heritage Middle School October 9 -13!!
Students can shop in person at the Fair throughout the school days that week in the Media Center; in addition, the Fair will be open before and after the Choir and Orchestra concerts on October 10 and 12 . Battle of the Books and Book Club Meeting on Wednesday, September 27

Student Book Club:  DO YOU LIKE TO READ? COME TO THE BOOK CLUB MEETING ON WEDNESDAY AT RECESS!  There will be an informational meeting during Recess on Wednesday, September 27, in the Media Center.  Come find out about the Battle of the Books competition, along with the after school Book Club. Pick up a pass from the Media Center today or in the morning on Wednesday to show one of your Recess teachers and then come to the Media Center.  Ms. Best will talk about the club and start introducing the books that we will be reading. See you on Wednesday during Recess in the Media Center!

Picture Retakes:  If you were absent on Picture Day, or want to return your pictures and have a retake, the day will be this Friday, September 29^th

NJHS:  Attention 8^th Graders: Are you dedicated to academic excellence? Are you involved in clubs, organizations and sports at HMS? Do you spend your free time volunteering in your community? Are you a leader in your school and community? If this sounds like you, then you may be eligible to apply to the National Junior Honor Society. Take a look at our updated NJHS application for more details. Please speak with Ms. Jasper or Mrs. Geoit if you have any questions.

Social @ Darby HS before Football Game is this Friday, September 29^th at 4:30 pm. Tickets will be sold at lunch starting Wednesday.

SPORTS:

The 8th Grade Football Team lost a Memorial last night in a B game. 24-6. Max Williams and Luke Marshall lead the defense the boys are in action Thursday at Hastings

SPORTS:

Football: The eighth-grade football team beat Jones Wednesday night, 30 to 14.  leading the way was Saron Stewart, Brennan Montgomery and Ameer Al Ani.

GSA Club Meeting:  GSA is a student-run organization that unites LGBTQ+ and allied youth at school.

Panther Ambassadors:  Hey Heritage! Be true to your school and join Panther Ambassadors!  You will love our fun activities and how you are able to volunteer and make our school and community a better place.

Attention New Students!:  We are welcoming you with a New Student gathering on Thursday, September 21^st in our Heritage Media Center!  You will receive your invitation soon ! Can’t Wait!

SPORTS:

The Weaver gymnastics team performed well in their meet against Hilliard Weaver, Hilliard Memorial, McCord/Perry, and Southwestern Middle Schools.  Sophia Kremmes had a strong performance on beam and floor.  Sydney Khosrowshahi placed 7th on floor.  Great job girls!!
