Happy Neon Day! Make sure to submit your spirit day photo by 1 pm today for a chance to win a FREE Homecoming ticket. Wear your neon tonight to support your class in powderpuff at 7 pm in the stadium. Entry is free! 

Seniors, the final round of Homecoming Court voting is now live! Voting ends Thursday night. 

Orchestra concert tonight! Come support our chamber orchestras in the PAC at 7:00 and listen to the challenging pieces they have been working on, and then join the groups after the concert at Graeter’s in Old Hilliard! 

Attention students – head out to Panera in Mill Run tonight from 4-8pm to help support the Spanish Club – 25% of the sales will be donated back to our club. Be sure to show them our flyer which can be found on Davidson and Spanish Club’s instagram accounts or order online by using the code FUND4U. 

Join GSA to paint pumpkins tomorrow– Thursday, October 9th, in room 171. All are welcome!

The baking club will be hosting their next meeting on Tuesday, October 14th after school in room 121. The sign up link will be posted on the canvas page the day before, on October 13th. If you are interested in making (and devouring) some spooky brownies, make sure you sign up, as spots are limited, and bring 5 dollars for supplies. 

Interact Club is having their October meeting right after school on Tuesday the 14th. Everyone is welcome, even if you’ve missed previous meetings. We will be having a hygiene drive after the meeting. See the TV’s around the school for more information on what to bring.

If you are interested in wrestling on the boys or girls team this season , please have a parent come to the parent meeting on October 15th @ 6pm in the media center. See coach Forgy in room 126 with any questions . 

Students, If you have registered for The Ohio State University visit, please be advised that paper passes will not be issued. Your pass can be accessed through your Schoolinks account. Please check the megaphone icon in Schoollinks for further details. If you attend class prior to the visit, please present your digital pass to your teacher. Make sure you bring your iPad for attendance. See Ms. Mongolier with any questions.

Homecoming week is full of events to celebrate. Make sure to dress up for spirit days for a chance to win a FREE homecoming ticket! Today is dress up as a soccer mom or BBQ dad. Tomorrow is dress up in neon. Also, tomorrow make sure to come to the Powder Puff games at 7 pm at Davidson’s stadium to support our players. Thursday dress up as a Tacky Tourist. Friday, wear blue out for Crush Coffman, bring your school spirit for the pep rally, enjoy a hot dog during lunch, and come to the football game to cheer on the Cats and watch our Homecoming royalty be crowned. Finally, on Saturday enjoy a Night in Rio at the Homecoming Dance from 7:30 to 10 pm. 2025 National Merit Semifinalists & Commended Scholars

Hilliard City Schools is proud to recognize our outstanding students who have been named National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Scholars in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. These exceptional students have demonstrated remarkable academic achievement and dedication to excellence, representing the very best of our district.

Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Program honors the top-performing students across the nation based on their PSAT/NMSQT scores. Semifinalists represent the highest-scoring students in each state and are eligible to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships. Commended Scholars are recognized for placing among the top 50,000 scorers nationwide.

Today is PJ Day and tonight is Movie Night with a showing of Rio at 7 pm. Tomorrow, dress up as a soccer mom or BBQ dad. Wednesday dress up in neon and come to the Powder Puff games at 7 pm at Davidson’s stadium. Thursday dress up as a Tacky Tourist. Are you coming to movie night tonight? Bring some cash! Senior Student Council members are selling candy bars for $2.00 and bags of popcorn for $1.00 each. 

The Wildcat band performed at 2 competitions this past Saturday across the State. Despite seeing over 20 different bands, they won Grand Champion at both shows! Additionally, they took home trophies for Best Percussion, Best Color Guard, Best Music, Best Visual, and Best General Effect. Way to go Wildcat band!!

ASL Club will meet today after school in room 202

In October, boys basketball will continue to have open gyms and conditioning on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:50 – 5:15. Tryouts will be held on October 31 and November 1st. Remember: you will need a current physical in order to try out and make the team.
