Good morning, Wildcats!

Here are your announcements for today:

  1. Wrestling will have an open mat Thursday from 2:45pm-3:45pm for those interested in wrestling along with conditioning Friday from 2:45-3:15.
  2. The Davidson Speech and Debate club will meet today in room 119 right after school. Hope to see you there!
  3. Wildcats, are you interested in learning about outer space and the universe? Come to the first meeting of our new Astronomy club Thursday October 1st right after school in room 231. This is an informational meeting and will be finished by 3:15.
  4. Seniors- the final round of Homecoming Court voting is now live! Voting ends Wednesday night.
  5. Happy Homecoming Spirit Week! Today’s theme is country vs country club. If you dressed up, don’t forget to submit your photo by 1 pm today in your class of canvas course for a chance to win a free Homecoming ticket. Voting will take place on Student Council’s instagram @hdhs.sc Tomorrow’s theme is Party in the USA!
  6. Come out this Wednesday for Powder Puff night! There will be a tailgate next to the field house from 5:30-7 with spike ball, corn hole, and other games and activities. Then cheer on your classmates as they play for the powder puff trophy from 7-8:30 in the Stadium.
  7. Homecoming is this Saturday, October 3rd from 7:30 pm-10:00 pm in the Stadium. Tickets are on sale now for $25 for students and non-Davidson guests. Guest forms are due by this Friday at 2:30 pm in the main office. The link to purchase tickets can be found in your “class of” canvas course and on Student Council’s instagram.
  8. Congratulations to the Wildcat Marching Band on a great performance at the Bloom Carroll band competition this past Saturday.  They walked away with straight superior ratings from all 7 judges.  In addition, they took home trophies for Best Percussion, Best Color Guard, and 2nd place overall.  Way to go Wildcat band!
  9. Reminder all cell phones and electronic devices should be in your bookbags and powered off ALL DAY!  No cell phones and electronic devices at the end of class, in the hallways, at lunch, or in the restrooms.
