HDV Announcements: Tuesday, September 15

Good morning, Wildcats!

Here are your announcements for today:

1. The first BSA meeting of the year will take place Tuesday, September 15th in the Media Center after school until 3:30. Please see Ms. Cooper with any questions. Hope to see you there!
2. Art Club will be meeting after school on Tuesday in Room 127.  New members are always welcome!
3. The chess club is hosting their first tournament of the year this Thursday, September 17th, at 2:40pm in room 143. All high schoolers are welcome to come and play, there will be pizza, cookies, and a total of 100 dollars in prizes.
4. Bake sale will be hosting its first bake sale this Friday, September 15th. Bring a dollar to enjoy a sweet treat and support our club!
5. Did you know that today is the start of Hispanic Heritage Month?  Hispanic heritage month started as a week long celebration but changed to a month in 1988.  Today through Oct 15th we celebrate all the influences that Latinos bring to this country from food, dance, culture to music, language and perspective. 
6. Reminder all cell phones and electronic devices should be in your bookbags and powered off ALL DAY!  No cell phones and electronic devices at the end of class, in the hallways, at lunch, or in the restrooms.
