Hello all, spring sports are around the corner and start soon. Here are the proposed start dates for all springs sports at WMS. These are all subject to change and subject to weather cancellations as well.
* Boys Lacrosse- Monday Feb. 22nd
* Girls Lacrosse- Wed. Mar. 3rd
* Softball- Monday Mar. 1st
* Baseball- Monday Mar. 1st
* B/G Track- Monday Mar. 8th
* Boys Volleyball- Monday Mar. 8th
* Boys Tennis- Monday Mar. 8th
All of the start dates are set by OHSAA as they govern all sports in grades 7-12. Some of our sports wait a week or two until the weather improves from the initial start date set forth by OHSAA, like girls lacrosse. baseball, & softball.
There will be individual posts about each sport coming soon, Girls Lacrosse already has a sign-up on the web site. The individual posts will hopefully have more details in regards to COVID protocols for each sport. Please note, OHSAA has not sent us any guidelines for spring sports with regard to COVID guidelines/restrictions. We have been told they will be coming, but we still have not received any at this time.
As a reminder, please make sure you have completed the Final Forms sign-up process, both parent and student need to sign-up for Final Forms. Be sure to choose the sport you plan on participating in this spring. All student-athletes must have a valid OHSAA physical on file in the athletic office before any athletic participation can begin.
